The royals’ official birthday greetings to little Archie on social media when he turned two this week were met with surprise and delight.

Behind the scenes, palace officials were placed in an awkward spot when they discovered they didn’t have any up-to-date photo of Harry and Meghan’s son to complement their messages.

Archie now talks in an American accent, according to the Daily Mail, after his parents, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, decided to step down as senior royals and relocate to California.

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are said to be able to count their interactions with their nephew on one hand.

It appears that the prince lacks an up-to-date picture of his grandson.

According to reports, Charles has only seen Archie twice since he was born.

It is believed that since the Prince of Wales had seen very little of his fourth grandchild, royal aides failed to locate a fitting portrait for Archie’s 2nd birthday message earlier this week.

Officials at the palace, according to the Mail, were concerned because they didn’t have an up-to-date photo of Meghan and Harry’s son.

They were compelled to use media photographs taken shortly after his birth and from his formal christening photos, emphasizing how little he had seen of his British heritage.

Because of Megxit, Archie is believed to have only seen his Cambridge cousins – Prince George, seven, Princess Charlotte, six, and three-year-old Prince Louis – once.

‘The truth is the Prince of Wales has barely seen his grandson twice since he was born,’ a source said.

‘In fact every member of Harry’s family can easily count on one hand the number of times they saw Archie after he was born and before the family left the UK. It’s a very sad situation.’

Meghan is welcoming a baby girl this summer, and the family has settled in Los Angeles with Archie.

On May 6, the toddler turned two, and Prince Charles and his wife Camilla posted an Instagram picture from his christening.

The tweet had a cake emoji and said, “Happy birthday to Archie, who turns two today.”

“Wishing Archie a very happy 2nd birthday today,” William and Kate wrote alongside a snapshot of the family from July 2019.

The Queen wished Archie a happy birthday by posting a snapshot of him with his parents.

They had no choice but to use pictures taken shortly after his birth or from his formal christening.

No one is personally to blame for the loss of family relations, according to the source.

Last year, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex made headlines as they abruptly left the royal family and relocated to Vancouver Island on Canada’s west coast, then to Los Angeles, where they now live.

But for two private plane trips to Ibiza and then the south of France, where they were guests of Sir Elton John, the Sussexes barely left their Windsor home in the months following Archie’s birth.

They declined to accompany the Royal Family on their yearly vacation to Scotland, and fled to Canada in November before moving in California, where they purchased a £11 million home.

When they returned to detonate their association with the family by declaring they were moving back as senior royals without contacting Buckingham Palace, Archie was not with them.

The Sussexes posted a sepia-toned photo of Archie carrying a huge bunch of balloons in their garden with his back to the camera as he celebrated his second birthday on Thursday.

Harry and Meghan also demanded that people contribute $5 (£3.60) each to the global Covid vaccination launch in honor of his birthday.

I’m sorry you’ve got them but we are not sorry they’ve gone from the UK. I can survive without seeing their kids and them. And I wouldn’t trust their so called foundation being non profit for them
