A friend of the brothers claims that Prince Harry and William have been arguing for the past 18 months and that their relationship is “difficult”

When Prince Harry and his wife, Meghan Markle, sat down for a televised interview with Oprah Winfrey, their relationship seemed to take a big blow, but the origins of their issues allegedly go even deeper.

Interviewing the royals used to be “a straightforward thing” when Prince Harry and William “weren’t arguing and life was simple” according to ITV News journalist Tom Bradby. However, he went on to say that the brother’s relationship has “slowly descended into something that was difficult” “Personally and publicly it has changed really over the past year and a half,” he told the Times.

Before denying that he secured the network’s rights for Harry and Meghan’s controversial Oprah Winfrey interview, which aired in March, Mr. Bradby made the admission.

Bradby has known both Harry and William for a long time and was the interviewer who arranged Harry and Meghan’s famously frank interview during their royal tour of Africa in 2019.

According to Dan Wootton of the Daily Mail, Prince William has ended his relationship with Mr Bradby.

This is due to the Duke of Cambridge’s reservations that Mr Bradby supported Prince Harry and Meghan Markle during Megxit and the documentary he produced with them in Africa.

During the 2018 documentary “Harry & Meghan, An African Journey” Mr Bradby spoke with Meghan Markle.

“We’re certainly on different paths at the moment.” Harry admitted at the time, stating he was experiencing problems with his older brother.

He questioned her about her life as a royal, and she replied: “Not many people have asked if I’m okay.

“It’s a very real thing to go through behind the scene it has really been a struggle.” said the Duchess.

Mr. Bradby has a long history of friendship with both princes, having done the first interview with William and Kate after their engagement announcement and being invited to the royal wedding.

However, William is said to have ended their 20-year relationship because he felt “let down” by what was supposedly viewed as the journalist taking sides during Megxit.

Bradby spoke out about the now-famous interview, saying that reflecting on mental health and the Sussexes’ emotional condition wasn’t his goal heading in, but that he could see when he met with Harry and Meghan that they were struggling—something he knew from his own struggles with mental health. As a consequence, Bradby claims the interview’s approach was “clearly influenced by my own experience and I didn’t think they were in great shape, and so I altered the way I was planning to do the documentary.”

“I don’t regret doing that,” he said. “There may be other times in the future in a whole range of subjects that I will alter my approach if I sense something similar.”

Mr Bradby remarked on the increasing curiosity in having the brothers reunited for the first time since Harry relocated to the United States last year when presenting ITV’s coverage of Prince Philip’s funeral last month.

It was also the first time Harry and William have seen each other in person since the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s controversial interview.

Mr Bradby remarked when he saw Prince Harry and Prince William walking side by side: “Funerals are a time of reconciliation and that sight, let’s be honest, that’s many wanted to see.

“Not least the family itself.”

Harry was “heartbroken” by the fraught relations between himself and his dad, Bradby told Alan Titchmarsh in January, when Harry and Meghan stood down from royal duties in early 2020 and relocated to California.

Mr. Bradby said in a Times interview that his Africa documentary made him feel “a little bit caught in the middle of them” but that he didn’t regret making it.

During Harry and Meghan’s tour in 2019, Harry spoke about his brother’s evolving relationship with him, whilst a tearful Meghan expressed her frustration with the media attention.

“Thank you for asking, because not many people have asked if I am OK.” the Duchess said when asked about her health during the trip.
