According to some pundits, Meghan Markle and the US President’s daughter, Ivanka Trump, may end up competing for the presidency in 2024.

Meghan Markle’s potential political career is gathering steam, with anticipation that she might face off against former US President Donald Trump in 2024.

Meghan Markle and Ivanka Trump have emerged as two of today’s most controversial public figures. With their contrasting histories, it’s hardly surprise that the media has been following their every step.

Meghan Markle has been believed to be interested in a key position in the White House since her departure from the royal family. She may, however, wind up competing with Ivanka Trump, the president’s daughter.

She famously labeled Donald Trump “divisive” and “misogynistic” during the 2016 presidential elections, but after marrying Prince Harry in 2018, she was compelled to embrace the Royal Family’s apolitical position. However, since Meghan and Harry announced their decision to leave the royal frontlines earlier this year, she has embraced her newfound independence in the run-up to this year’s presidential election.

Camilla Tominey, Royal Editor at ITV, pushed the idea on This Morning.

Trending:

“Oh my goodness me, I don’t even want to imagine a celebrity deathmatch between Trump and Meghan,” she said.

“I think I know who’d win actually, and I don’t think it’s the Donald.

“Wouldn’t it be great, just for copy, journalistically, to see them both go head-to-head in 2024? I love that this idea of Meghan as the next President has really ramped up now in the aftermath of the Oprah interview.”

Many experts and pundits recently expressed their opinions on the two powerful ladies. According to the Daily Express, they predict the former working royal and the President of the United States’ daughter will fight for the top job within the White House.

Beverly Turner, a royal analyst, stated that the former “Suits” actor has intentions to run for president.

“She will run for President, I have no doubt about it. I have no doubt; I think this is all part of the plan,” she told UK Channel 5’s Jeremy Vine. “It may not be very soon, but it will be.”

Furthermore, the royal analyst stated that she had “fairly good authority” that Markle will enter politics.

Ivanka Trump, too, has expanded her public presence throughout her father’s campaign this year, and she just introduced him at the Republican National Convention.

Meghan’s “political ambitions,” according to Tominey, were nurtured long before she became a princess.

“It had always been suggested that she had political ambitions,” she said.

“2024 might be a little too soon when you consider that she’s pregnant with her second child. Also she might have family matters closer to hand.

“But, yes, that is certainly a presidential race I want to watch.”

The speculations follow both of them openly discussing the forthcoming elections in November. While the First Daughter has declared her support for her father, the former Suits actress appears to have remained politically neutral.

“Might Ivanka be eyeing a slot on the Republican ticket? Yes, back in 2017, she insisted she tries to ‘stay out of politics’. But people change,” wrote royal commentator Rosa Silverman in The Telegraph.

Ms Silverman wrote in The Telegraph that “America loves a dynasty,” and that bookmakers have given the first daughter 33 to 1 odds of winning the 2024 election.

Meghan Markle has been given a “less favorable prediction.” She has a “100 to 1” chance of beating the First Daughter in the race. Despite this, Silverman recalled that Donald Trump had the same figures when he first declared his intention to run for president.

In terms of Ivanka and Meghan’s friendship, royal commentator Craig Brown wrote in the Mail on Sunday that the two’s friendship has been excluded from the “Finding Freedom” biography because it may interfere with Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s “new mission to build a humanitarian legacy that will make a profound difference in the world.”
