Jennifer Aniston wore a small red bikini to the table read of Fast Times At Ridgemont High, but not in the way you’d expect. The 51-year-old beauty, who was auditioning for the iconic part of Linda Barrett, took method acting to the next level by wearing her bathing suit top over her white tank. It surely made an impression!

Jennifer Aniston went all out for the Dane Cook Presents Feelin’ A-Live: Fast Times at Ridgemont High table read, in which A-listers joined comedian Dane Cook to practically replicate the 1982 blockbuster.

Aniston, Brad Pitt, John Legend, Jimmy Kimmel, John Legend, Ray Liotta, Julia Roberts, Shia LaBeouf, Morgan Freeman, and Henry Golding were among the celebrities that took part in the virtual table read.

While Aniston’s smart costume change amused her co-stars, it was her on-screen reunion with ex-husband Brad Pitt that made them laugh the hardest. Pitt’s character (Brad Hamilton) has a sexual dream about Linda exiting a pool seductively wearing the famed red bikini, which leads to a hilarious live reading between the exes.

Brad imagines a bikini-clad Linda seducing him as she climbs out of his swimming pool in his dream sequence, which Aniston and Pitt recreated.

“Hi, Brad,” Aniston as Linda said to Pitt. “You know how cute I always thought you were. I think you’re so sexy. Will you come to me?”

Needless to say, the two had a humorous and slightly awkward sexually heated moment.

Linda storms into the bathroom, interrupting Brad’s fantasy and catching him in a compromising situation, just like in the movie.

“Doesn’t anybody f—knock any more?!” Pitt as Brad says.

While Jennifer and Brad were not in character, fans observed a lovely moment between them. Brad said, “Hi Aniston,” before the actress answered, “Hi Pitt,” as they greeted each other at the start of the video.

Brad continued, referring to Joey from Friends:  “How you doing?” “Good honey,” she replied, “how are you doing?” to which the actor said: “I’m alright.”

After every encounter, rumors about the former lovers’ chemistry have circulated the internet, and the Zoom read was no exception, sending fans into a frenzy about the possibility of a romantic reunion.

Jennifer’s fans shared a screengrab of the Friends star in her swimsuit on Instagram, which Jennifer re-posted. “Jennifer Aniston in the red bikini for the win,” the caption read.

The table read was put together as a fundraiser for actor Sean Penn’s NGO CORE (Community Organized Relief Effort). While the year has been challenging, and many film projects have been put on hold to focus on more important problems, the event provided much-needed comedic relief during a trying period.

Before the big night, Cook spoke with PEOPLE about why he wanted to put on such a spectacular show as people all around the world were still dealing with the new coronavirus epidemic.

“It’s hard to not have those really great, dare I say, holy s—, entertainment moments, which we have summer to summer — the big movie or the big moment. And when I didn’t see that was happening, when I started seeing the films that I was anticipating most move out of the summertime spot, I thought, man, wouldn’t it be great if somehow, someway we could still create a version of that moment? And I think we have the chance to do that, which is so damn cool.”

Cook says he wanted to create a joyful event during a year when so many entertainment events and festivities had been cancelled.

The comedian told People, “I threw out a bunch of names originally, and was fortunate enough to get a couple of those names pretty quickly.

“I mean, Jennifer Aniston was lovely and was so gun-ho. Julia Roberts came in within that first week or two, and within 10 days, I knew that this could go the distance.”

Cook explained: “In terms of casting and how we wanted it to come together, there’s some expectation of what kind of person should be playing this role or that role, but truly it was about, let’s really try to break up the diversity, and let’s be unexpected.”

“You know, a live read is a celebration of the written story.”
