Kirsten Dunst has said that 25 years after the release of Interview With the Vampire, she still feels her kiss with Brad Pitt was “gross.”

Brad was 30 years old and Kirsten was 11 years old when they co-starred in the movie in 1994.

Dunst was asked about the kiss when she was promoting the film at the time. Entertainment Tonight showed her a videotape of  herself reacting to the kiss, and she stands by her first response.

“Yeah, it was gross! I stand by that. It would have been so much creepier if an 11-year-old was like, ‘It was great.’ You’d be like, ‘There’s something wrong with this child.’”

Dunst, on the other hand, stated the majority of her time on the set was fantastic, and that Pitt and co-star Tom Cruise treated her “like a little sister.”

“They were so sweet to me,” she remarked. “That production, that film, was like nothing else I’ve ever experienced — maybe Marie Antoinette, because of where we shot.

“Other than that, they just don’t make movies like that anymore.”

During an appearance on Stephen Colbert’s Late Show last week, Dunst reflected on her time with the rising A-Listers. Dunst was keen to bring out the age gap between her and her renowned male costars after Colbert questioned whether she remembers feeling how big of a deal it was to perform alongside the two stars.

Dunst remarked of co-starring with the heartthrobs, “I did, but I was also very innocent. I feel like I watched Brad in A River Runs Through and Tom was in Far and Away, which I loved. They treated me like a little sister.”

She was nominated for a Golden Globe for her performance in the film, in which her character Claudia is transformed into a vampire by Pitt’s Louis just as she is about to die of the disease.

Christian Slater starred as a journalist questioning Pitt’s character decades after the events of the film, while Antonio Banderas as a vampire.

At the time of its release, Interview With the Vampire garnered favorable reviews from critics and was nominated for two Academy Awards.

The film was also a commercial success, grossing $224 million (£183 million) worldwide.
