According to a report, actor Tom Cruise is playing a key role in preventing his ex-wife, also an actor, Nicole Kidman from attending their son Connor’s wedding in Italy. After 1995, Cruise and Kidman—who were wed from 1990 to 2001—adopted Connor.
Like his famous father, Connor Cruise, 24, is a Scientologist. He will soon wed his Italian girlfriend Silvia, but Nicole is rumored to not be invited to the wedding.
According to RadarOnline “Behind this is Tom, and what he wants is as good as law.”
“Tom made the call and Connor followed.”
Apparently, Connor “worships the ground” his father walks on and will never defy him.

Tom and Nicole, when married, adopted two kids, namely Isabella and Connor. After he and Nicole got divorced, Tom kept custody of the kids.
Connor’s fiancee is reportedly referred to as a “Scientology Princess” because she and her family, who immigrated to Florida from Italy, are Scientologists.
According to insiders, Tom ‘adores’ his future daughter-in-law and is pleased that his son is tying the knot with a Scientologist.
“First, Tom would never even consider inviting Nicole to Connor’s wedding because she’s considered a ‘suppressive person’ by the church — and, second, he doesn’t want her there,” the source said.
Nicole is said to blame the religion for ruining her marriage as well as her relationship with her two children, previously missing Isabella’s wedding to husband Max Parker in 2015.
Nicole has daughters named Sunday and Faith with her husband, country music star Keith Urban. Tom later wed actress Katie Holmes, but the marriage quickly ended in divorce.
Last January, after winning a Golden Globe for her performance in Big Little Lies, she thanked her two children with Keith Urban, Sunday, 10, and Faith, 8, but it appeared that she ignored her two adopted children.
Nicole did, however, imply that she doesn’t have a disagreement with Connor and Isabella in an interview with Who magazine from a year ago. Isabella recently claimed that Scientology saved her life.
Nicole said: “I’m very private about all that. I have to protect all those relationships.”
“They are able to make their own decisions. They have made choices to be Scientologists and as a mother, it’s my job to love them.”
The Big Little Lies actress has declined to discuss religion or her family ties in recent years.
In an exclusive interview with Daily Mail Online in March 2016, Bella, 26, discussed marriage.
When asked if it was hard not to have his famous father-in-law walk Bella down the aisle to give her away Max told Daily Mail Online, ‘Yeah. It is what it is.’
As for Max’s parents, Beverly Parker, his mother, said from her home in Croydon that they also chose not to attend the wedding out of concern that it would be made public.
When asked why she didn’t want to go, she replied, ‘We didn’t go but we knew all about it. We stayed away, we didn’t want the media circus.’
Beverly, 59, and Lester, 63, the parents of Max, have yet to meet Cruise, 53, and Kidman, 48. Beverly said, “No, no, there’s no need for that,” when asked whether she wanted to meet them.
Adding, “At the end of the day, aren’t they just people?”
“I love my mum,” Connor, a DJ, said to Woman’s Day in 2014. According to Kidman, she supports her children’s decision to convert to Scientology. She said, “
They are adults. They are able to make their own decisions. They have made choices to be Scientologists and as a mother, it’s my job to love them. And I am an example of that tolerance and that’s what I believe — that no matter what your child does, the child has love and the child has to know there is available love and I’m open here.”
Trouble in paradise
Despite their high-profile marriage, however, the couple’s relationship was reportedly complex and troubled.
According to reports, Cruise and Kidman met on the set of the film “Days of Thunder” in 1990, and they fell in love while working on the film together. They were married later that year in a lavish ceremony, and they went on to have two children together, Isabella and Connor.
However, despite the public image of a happy and loving couple, reports suggest that there were problems in the relationship from the beginning. For example, Cruise was reportedly controlling and demanding, and he expected Kidman to adhere to strict rules and guidelines.
He reportedly dictated what she could and could not wear, and he expected her to support his controversial beliefs, such as his membership in the Church of Scientology.
Kidman, meanwhile, was reportedly unhappy with the demands of being a high-profile celebrity and struggled to adjust to Cruise’s lifestyle.
In addition to dictating Kidman’s appearance and beliefs, Cruise was also reportedly controlling in other aspects of their relationship.
He reportedly dictated the couple’s schedule and activities, and he expected Kidman to be available to him at all times. He was also reportedly jealous and possessive, and he did not allow Kidman to have any close friends or relationships outside of their marriage.
As time went on, the couple’s relationship reportedly became increasingly strained, and they eventually separated in 2000. In 2001, they finalized their divorce, and they have both since moved on to other relationships.
Kidman’s experience with Cruise’s controlling behavior was not unique. In fact, many of Cruise’s former partners have reported similar experiences.
His former girlfriend, Penelope Cruz, has said that Cruise was very controlling during their relationship. He reportedly dictated what she could and could not wear, and he expected her to support his beliefs and lifestyle.
Also, Cruise’s ex-wife, Mimi Rogers, has also reported that he was controlling during their marriage. Rogers has said that Cruise was very possessive and jealous, and that he did not allow her to have any close friends or relationships outside of their marriage.
Cruise’s controlling and demanding behavior has not been limited to his romantic relationships. He has also been accused of being controlling in his professional relationships, particularly with regard to his work in the Church of Scientology.
Cruise has been accused of using his influence and power within the Church to dictate the careers of other actors and actresses who are members of the Church.
