Sophie Turner alarmed her fans after being seen crying in New York City yesterday with her fiancé Joe Jonas. It was unclear why the Game of Thrones actress was tearful when she was seen clinging onto her companion and concealing her face during a city stroll.

Later, the Game of Thrones actress shared one of the pictures online and wrote: “Lol. Thank god I have a loving fiancé. Periods are a b***h.”

Turner’s open admission was well received by other social media users who could really relate to her suffering. One person commented, “@SophieT crying in NYC because of cramps is one of the most relatable things I’ve seen on the internet.”

Unfortunately, some people online (i.e., the trolls) did not think Turner was really sobbing that much over her period in public. “Are you telling you that you start crying till your face is burnin’ red bc you have ur period? Even when you know paparazzis are behind you? Next joke please,”  one person tweeted.

Judging by the comments on a Buzzfeed article about the situation, literally everyone can. Sometimes the internet is Good.

She tweeted in response to someone who said they didn’t believe her, “Girl…. you’ve never had cramps.”

Sophie has discussed her preference for maintaining the highest level of intimacy in her relationships.

She explained: “I’m in a relationship, but it’s a very private relationship. I’m happier than I’ve been in a very long time. I very much isolated myself for a while and forgot what was fun. Going out with friends, going out to eat, not really having a care. And people I’ve met recently in my life have drawn me out of that. It really helps you own those insecurities. The things I tortured myself about before, I can forget about.”

Turner’s remark dispelled rumors that she was sobbing about her romance with Jonas as well. The actress seems to be happy and engaged.

She said: “I’m still like: Holy s**t! I’m engaged … It’s lovely to be engaged. Not like I achieved anything, but I found my person like I’d find a house that I love and want to stay in forever. There’s a sense of peace that comes with finding your person. But there’s a drive that comes with your career.”

“There’s this weird misconception that being married is the greatest thing that’ll ever happen to you. But I’ve always found that my career is something I work for, and when I achieve something, there’s a sense that this is the greatest thing I’ll do in my life.”

Turner’s remarks follow an interview she gave to 1883 magazine in which she teased “Game of Thrones” season 8.

Fans adore Sophie, who portrays Sansa Stark in the popular HBO series Game of Thrones.

This season is bloodier than ever, she said of the highly awaited finale. It’s filled with treachery, conflict, and peril. Without revealing too much, that is all I can say.

Turner discussed whether or not it ever becomes boring for people to scrutinize her every action as a result of the show’s enormous popularity.

“It doesn’t get frustrating; it’s entertaining. When I dyed my hair blonde everyone thought Sansa was a Targaryen. Everyone reads very much into what we do in our personal lives.”

The pictures came a week after images of another engaged pair, Justin Bieber and Hailey Baldwin, were seen getting emotional in NYC

Fans were confused by images of the recently engaged pair comforting each other while out on a bike and at a restaurant in Manhattan.

But the explanation was quite different. Bieber merely held out a copy of The Meaning of Marriage: Facing the Complexities of Commitment with the Wisdom of God when reporters questioned him about what had brought on the emotional outburst.

When asked why they were sobbing, the “Love Yourself” singer said, “You got good days and you got bad days. It’s not real if it doesn’t have any bad days.”
