Jennifer Lopez slammed accusations that she manipulated her abs in a recent Instagram image.

Lopez shared a sultry photo with her 66.9 million Instagram followers on Thursday. The 47-year-old (!!) is pictured in a mirror, dressed in baby blue sweatpants and a cropped white sweatshirt, her legendary abs on full display. Several admirers commented on Lopez’s Instagram picture, accusing her of photo editing (something many celebrities, including Beyoncé, have been accused of).

‘Is she missing a part of her waist? Or am I wrong?,’ remarked one commenter, while another added, ‘It’s photoshopped. You can see it in the picture. Right side of her waist.’ One even asserted, ‘Definitely photoshopped. Can’t see the missing body behind the smudge. It is transparent and I have yet to see a mirror that does that by itself.’

Another said, “Look at her forehead, face, arm…it’s the worst Photoshop job I’ve ever seen. Heck, my 7 yr old could’ve done a better job than that.”

In the picture, it looks like a portion of Jennifer’s back is missing, which led to claims that she had manipulated the image.

Lopez, who will return for a third season on NBC’s Shades of Blue, was eager to set the record straight.

“Omg… Just a smudge on the mirror…lol…not photoshop. #lordblessthehaters #gymrat #youshouldtryit #wishtherewasphotoshopforhaters,” Lopez wrote.

J. Lo then took a photo of her comment and shared it to her Instagram Stories in order to make sure all her fans saw the message.

Despite the fact that Lopez is (and always has been) known for her amazingly fit body, some people didn’t believe the explanation and proceeded to accuse the Shades of Blue star of editing the photograph. The vast majority of comments, on the other hand, reached the same conclusion: As one admirer wrote,

“Smudge, no smudge, she still has a killer, fit as fuck body!!!!”

The pop singer is no stranger to flaunting her figure, whether on the red carpet or online, clearly adhering to the adage “if you’ve got it, flaunt it.”

With its plunging neckline, barely-there translucent tropical fabric, and daring leg splits, Lopez’s green Versace dress at the 42nd Grammy Awards in 2000 is just one of her many classic looks.

The 47-year-old has previously discussed body confidence, stating that it took her some time to feel at ease in her own skin.

In an interview with HELLO! Magazine, she stated, ‘It’s hard to avoid comparing yourself to others, and I’ve definitely been guilty of it myself. I remember thinking I wasn’t thin enough because I had curves. But I’ve learned that being healthy and feeling great aren’t about having one specific body type; it’s a completely individual thing.’

‘Feeling beautiful is an attitude,’ she said, ‘and we should all look for the beautiful things we love about ourselves, regardless of how our bodies compare to someone else’s.’
