On Tuesday, Alec Baldwin had another run-in with the press.

Baldwin was strolling with his wife, Hilaria, when he saw a photographer snapping their picture, according to the New York Daily News. Baldwin was irritated by this.

The photographer, who has not been named in the story or by authorities, maintained that he did not instigate the fight, according to TMZ. “All I can say is I was doing my job asking him normal questions and he flipped,” he explained. “That’s all.”

The men admitted to pushing each other when the altercation broke out in the street, and the NYPD investigated after both dialed 911.

Baldwin and Hilaria, who recently brought a baby daughter into the world, were attempting to shake the photographer while strolling down the street, according to a friend of the actor’s. Because the photographer would not leave them alone, the actor decided to approach him.

A pal tells TMZ, “What kind of sick twisted psychopath chases a woman who just got out of the hospital from having a baby into a tea store?” It was fortunate that the tea store was close by to give a safe refuge.

Unlike some of Baldwin’s other paparazzi encounters, the incident ended swiftly, according to a police source.

“There was a scuffle– pushing and shoving– between two individuals, and the two individuals refused to press charges on each other,” an NYPD spokeswoman said.

The NYPD’s Lt. Karen Anderson told ABC News that “nobody got hurt” and that no police complaint had been made.

Baldwin’s publicist said that “no punches were thrown” during the altercation and that the actor was just defending himself.

The paparazzi, according to a source close to Baldwin, were to blame.

“The photographer was the aggressor,” an ABC News source said. “He even chased Alec’s wife [Hilaria] into a store after the incident.”

Mr. Baldwin hit the front page of The New York Post in February after reportedly telling Page Six writer Tara Palmeri that he wanted her to choke to death in response to a request for comment on a lawsuit, and then making racial remarks to the Post photographer. When the officers arrived, both the actor and the photographer made harassment claims. Mr. Baldwin then took to Twitter to express his displeasure with the situation.

Baldwin had a similar struggle with the press in June 2012. A photojournalist for the New York Daily News said Baldwin assaulted him outside a marriage license agency in that event.

Last Friday, Baldwin, 55, and his wife, 29, welcomed their first child, Carmen Gabriela, into the world in New York City.
