Jackie Chan has a reputation for being one of the hardest working folks in show business, and now he can demonstrate this with two Guinness World Records certifications.

Chan was given the accolades for “Most Stunts Performed by a Living Actor” and “Most Credits in One Movie” by Guinness World Records.

“Achieving these Guinness World Records titles is recognition of all my life’s work,” Chan stated of the feat.

On Weibo, Chan also remarked the following regarding the Guinness awards ( translated through Google translate):

“I was awarded two Guinness Book of World Records, one of which is “Most Stunts Performed By A Living Actor.” I felt I particularly deserved it today. As I look back to the past, so many times to do my utmost, I think it was very worthwhile, because they are records of the past. I can be very proud with them for posterity, saying with the audience that “This is Jackie Chan, Jackie Chan! This is forever!!”

The actor admits he was surprised and wasn’t thinking about breaking any records when filming his last picture, “CZ12 (Chinese Zodiac)”.

“Actually when I made this film, I never thought about winning a Guinness Record. I never thought about it, I did 15 different roles. In fact you could say more than 15 roles. I also joined in on dubbing and putting in effects.”

As writer, director, main actor aAsian Hawk, producer, executive producer, cinematographer, art director, unit production manager, catering coordinator, stunt coordinator, gaffer, composer, theme song vocalist, props, and stuntman, Chan has 15 credits to his name in Chinese Zodiac.

The presentation of a second Guinness World Records title for Most stunts by a live actor was the highlight of the Shangai event, an accomplishment that represents Chan’s incredible career, in which he has almost died countless times and broken several bones.

“Nobody has risked more in the name of entertainment than Jackie Chan,” GWR Greater China President Rowan Simons said, “and this world record is a tribute both to his creativity and his endurance.”

If my memory serves me well, Chan also holds the Guinness World Record for the Most Takes for a Single Scene. Dragon Lord (1982) was the film, and a shuttlecock sports scene took 2,900 takes to perfect.

Chan has stated that “CZ12” will be his final action film.
