Last week, actress and activist Jane Fonda stated that the coronavirus was “God’s gift to the left” at an online event. She made the comment while discussing how the virus has let people see President Donald Trump for who he really is.

Fonda asserted that people are at a crossroads in a video released to YouTube, asking Americans to vote for presidential contender Joe Biden in the November election.

“We are individuals who have the ability to influence whatever direction mankind takes. “What a great gift, what a tremendous opportunity, we’re just so lucky,” Fonda said in an online video. “We just have to use it with every ounce of intelligence, courage, and wherewithal we have.”

Fonda said, “I just think COVID is God’s gift to the left. That’s a terrible thing to say. I think it was a very difficult thing to send down to us, but it has ripped the Band-Aid off who [Trump] is and what he stands for and what is being done to average people and working people in this country.”

“We can see it now,” Fonda said, “people who couldn’t see it before can see it now, and we have a chance to harness that anger and make a difference.”

The continuing COVID-19 epidemic has claimed the lives of over 200,000 Americans and over one million individuals globally, with Donald Trump being diagnosed with the virus just lately.

Fonda has already chastised Trump. When addressing racism in America with CNN’s Don Lemon in June, he used the same Band-Aid image.

“When Donald Trump was elected, and the Band-Aid was torn off, people could see very blatantly the racism in this country that’s always been there,” she remarked.

Fonda has also been a source of controversy for years due to her far-left political views.

Many Vietnam War veterans still refer to Fonda as “Hanoi Jane,” referring to her unfortunate trip to North Vietnam in 1972, during which she was pictured atop an anti-aircraft cannon used to shoot down American planes. Fonda has apologized for the event for a long time.
