Jennifer Lopez and Alex Rodriguez have called it quits after their relationship was rocked by the Madison LeCroy scandal.

An anonymous source told Page Six that the couple finally decided to part ways after Rodriguez was linked to the Southern Charm reality star.

The two had been dating since 2017, and their relationship was thought to be headed towards marriage.

In January, rumors of infidelity involving an “ex-MLB star” and LeCroy surfaced on Twitter during the reunion special for Bravo’s Southern Charm.

LeCroy later confirmed that she had been FaceTiming with Rodriguez but had not met him in person.

“He’s never physically cheated on his fiancée with me,” she told Page Six in February.

According to the source, the Madison LeCroy scandal was the “reason they finally broke up. There were already problems, but Jennifer was really embarrassed by it.”

Sources close to Rodriguez maintain that he never met LeCroy.

However, LeCroy’s Southern Charm co-star Shep Rose told Us Weekly that there was “an NDA signed” between her and Rodriguez.

In a recent interview with Allure, Lopez revealed that she and Rodriguez had been seeing a therapist during the lockdown.

“It has been actually really good. We got to work on ourselves. We did therapy,” she said. The 51-year-old pop star believes that counseling helped them during the lockdown.

“I think it was really helpful for us in our relationship,” she added.

Lopez and Rodriguez have been quarantining together during the COVID-19 pandemic.

The couple has shared several pictures and videos of their time together on social media, including workout sessions and family gatherings.

They have also been involved in philanthropic efforts, including donations to COVID-19 relief funds and supporting Black Lives Matter protests.

Rodriguez proposed to Lopez in March 2019 during a romantic vacation in the Bahamas.

The couple has been engaged for over two years and was planning to tie the knot in Italy in 2020.

However, due to the pandemic, they postponed their wedding plans.

They were last seen together at President Joe Biden’s inauguration in January 2021.

The breakup news comes as a surprise to their fans, as the couple had been sharing pictures of each other on social media just a few days before the news broke.

On March 31, Lopez posted a selfie on Instagram with the caption, “Find a good reason to laugh today.

Sending everyone love.” Rodriguez commented on the post with heart emojis.

Lopez has been married three times before and has two children, while Rodriguez has been married once before and has two daughters.

The couple had talked about blending their families together in the past.

In a 2018 interview with People, Lopez said, “We’re both very happy and understand our roles and responsibilities as parents, and we’re doing the best we can for our children.”
