Billie Eilish, the famous singer and songwriter, recently spoke out about body-shamers and the importance of having a positive body image.

In an interview with Vanity Fair on October 18th, she answered the same questions for the fourth year in a row as part of a “time capsule” video series.

When asked about the “biggest rumor” about her, Billie referred to photos of herself in Los Angeles that had gone viral a few days prior.

The images showed her wearing a tank top, which was a departure from her signature baggy clothing.

Some people made negative comments about her appearance, which was surprising to her fans.

“There was a picture of me running from my car to my brother’s front door on a 110-degree day in a tank top,” she shared.

“Everyone was like, ‘Wow, Billie got fat!’ And I was like, ‘No, this is just how I look! You’ve never seen it before!'” she said in a mocking tone, before adding, “So that’s the most recent one, but whatever.”

When asked about her impact on body image messaging, Billie responded, “I don’t know, I think that’s not really for me to decide.”

She continued, “I love having kids relate to me and tell me that I make them feel comfortable in their bodies. If I can do anything, I want to do that.”

Billie has previously spoken out about body image in the past.

She told Dazed magazine in April that she began wearing loose-fitting clothing because she was insecure about her body.

“The only reason I did it was because I hated my body,” she added.

However, she has yet to address the body-shamers directly. Instead, she shared a video by YouTuber Chizi Duru, who encourages fans to “start normalizing real bodies.”

Billie’s message of body positivity and self-acceptance is important, particularly in a world where people are constantly bombarded by unrealistic beauty standards.

Society often places a great deal of pressure on individuals to conform to a certain body shape, but Billie’s words remind us that everyone is different and unique in their own way.

It’s important for individuals to love and embrace their bodies, regardless of their shape or size.

Billie’s message of body positivity serves as an inspiration to others and encourages people to be comfortable in their own skin.
