Kendall Jenner has finally spoken up about the backlash she received after wearing a “inappropriate” dress to one of her closest friends’ wedding.

The 26-year-old was at the heart of a heated controversy in November after she attended her friend Lauren Perez’s wedding sporting an eye-catching outfit.

The bridesmaids changed out of their blue dresses for the reception later that night, causing online fans to freak out after seeing photographs of Kendall donning a risqué black Mônot dress with diamond shaped cuts.

The dress, which was part of Mônot’s ready-to-wear S/S 2022 collection, was made up of little triangular pieces of fabric that connected at the front of the garment, revealing much of Jenner’s chest.

Perez posted photos from her wedding on Instagram, including a handful of Jenner wearing the skin-baring outfit, which prompted outrage.

“Inappropriate outfit at a wedding @kendalljenner I’m embarrassed for you,” one user said, adding the hashtag “#cringe.”

“So disrespectful to wear this. In every photo you see her, not the bride,” said another, while a third added, “How to upstage the bride 101.”

Several followers defended the model, with one person remarking, “If the bride herself doesn’t gaf, why do you care?” relax.”

While Kendall seems to have enraged a lot of people on the internet, the bride and her bridesmaid Lauren made a statement on the dress, acknowledging that the model looked “stunning,” and adding that she “loved” the style.

“@laurenperez obvi asked for your approval in advance too,” Jenner said, and added, “we love a beach wedding.” Perez has subsequently disabled comments on that particular post.

While Jenner’s bridesmaids wore unorthodox outfits, the bride wore a strapless Vera Wang gown for the Jewish ceremony in Miami, however she later changed into a Vivienne Westwood gown and special Nike Air Force 1s for the reception.
