Tensions between Prince Harry and Prince Charles have risen since the Sussexes’ explosive appearance with Oprah Winfrey earlier this year.

The book “Finding Freedom” authored by Omid Scobie and Carolyn Durand, is being updated with fresh information.

Last year, Meghan broke a pledge not to “overshadow” Camilla’s long-awaited address on domestic abuse, allegedly causing outrage.

The Duchess of Cornwall was left “very upset” after Meghan insisted photos of her at a theatre appeared on the day as she gave the important address, Royal Editor Russell Myers revealed.

Palace officials remained tight-lipped about the feud after Meghan went rogue, sharing her own covert arrangements.

But one insider said: “Camilla’s work is very important to her and her decision to highlight the scourge of domestic violence at the 10th anniversary of Women of the World was a carefully thought-out plan.

Trending:

“Over the last four years, she has worked tirelessly, mostly behind the scenes but to great effect, to use her platform and personal experiences to highlight the issue and help sufferers.

“Of course it was known Harry and Meghan would be doing engagements this week, some privately, but everyone was in agreement that Camilla’s speech should take precedence.

“Unfortunately some people had other ideas.”

Other anti-domestic-violence activists and supporters praised the Princess of Cornwall for her tireless efforts and commitment to the cause.

At the time, the Duchess of Cornwall said: “As a somewhat ancient technophobe, is not always familiar with some of the jargon younger people use today, but I do know about hashtags.

“And now I am using my very first one: #everyonesproblem. Domestic abuse is everyone’s problem and the solution must be too.

“I find it almost impossible to think any friend of mine might be living under that horrific threat, without my knowing it, but that is the power of coercive control and violence in the home.

“It is characterised by silence. Silence from those that suffer, silence from those around them, and silence from those who perpetrate abuse. This silence is corrosive.

“It leaves women, children and men carrying the burden of shame. It prevents them from speaking out about the abuse and it prevents them from getting help. And at its worst it can be fatal.”

Insiders said Meghan “refused to listen” to the pleas of staff she and Harry dismissed when they announced their decision to leave the royal life.

Chris Allerton, who also photographed Meghan Markle’s wedding to Prince Harry and their baby Archie’s baptism, took the theater photos in question.

After lunch with Harry at the Goring Hotel in London, the Duchess visited the National Theatre, where she was previously a patron.

Of course, Camilla isn’t the only member of the royal family who is enthusiastic about eradicating violence against women; both Harry and Meghan are also campaigning, but sources believe it was best to let Camilla have her time on this occasion.
