Prince William and Harry ‘unlikely’ to spend ‘quality family time together’, Royal Expert Claims

Although Prince Harry and Prince William have made progress in their relationship, royal analyst and London journalist Jonathan Sacerdoti told Us Weekly that they are unlikely to spend key holidays together.

The Duke of Cambridge and the Duke of Sussex are said to be feuding. When they met for the inauguration of their mother Princess Diana’s statue earlier this month, they exhibited no indications of hostility. Despite this, it is doubtful that Prince Charles’ sons will spend Christmas and New Year’s Day together.

Jonathan Sacerdoti, royal expert and London reporter, told Us Weekly, “It’s perhaps unlikely that they’re going to be spending what we would think of as quality family time together at Christmas and New Years and birthdays.”

“Just remember that the queen hasn’t met her latest granddaughter. It doesn’t seem likely that she’s going to anytime soon. She’s barely seen Archie for quite a while.

“On a human family level, forgetting them being the royal family, there’s already quite some frostiness and distance there.

“So I suspect if things can go well, [then] maybe they’ll have the occasional meeting, but I don’t think it seems very high on anyone’s agenda.”

While the frostiness between certain members of the royal family, such as Queen Elizabeth and Prince Charles, may still be thawing, the two brothers have allegedly “turned a new page” in their relationship. Another insider told Us Weekly last week that “William and Harry spent the morning before the statue unveiling looking through old keepsakes, notes from Diana, and bonding. They have absolutely turned a new page in their relationship and have started the healing. Everyone around them was thrilled to see how close they were on the day of the statue unveiling .”

The relationship between Prince William and Prince Harry took a turn once the latter opted to resign aside from his royal duties. Their feud apparently worsened after Prince Harry and Meghan Markle claimed in an interview with Oprah Winfrey for a CBS special that a member of the royal family had expressed worries about their son’s skin tone. Their words provoked accusations of racism against the royal family, which Prince William refuted.

Other sources claim Kate Middleton is also trying to mend her relations with Meghan, claiming she has sent many messages and presents since Lilibet’s birth in an attempt to heal the schism.

“Kate has been reaching out to Meghan a lot more since [Lilibet] was born, she’s sending [notes and] gifts and trying to build up a relationship,” a source said. “The firm has been instructing staffers to reach out more to Harry and Meghan to get them to soften a bit.”

Mr Sacerdoti went on to say that, while the brothers aren’t as close as they previously were, they don’t have any “animosity.”

“It’s like any family. Sometimes we keep a closer contact with people than other times, and some people we stay more in touch with than others. So I think just the very distance between the United States and the United Kingdom and the complications of either parts of this family being able to travel means that jetting backwards and forwards isn’t necessarily going to happen though,” he clarified.
