Prince Harry kept his father Charles in the dark about his plans to write an explosive new book on his life.

According to a royal insider, Charles, the heir to the throne, was “surprised” by Harry’s declaration Monday that he will publish a memoir.

Another royal source stated, “No one knew.” “There was chaos when the Page Six story came out.”

For over a year, the Duke of Sussex, 36, has been quietly working on a book on his time in the royal family, which he has subsequently sold to Penguin Random House.

Charles learned about the planned memoir through Palace insiders when the news came out.

Because Harry has spoken out against him in previous interviews, Charles may be apprehensive about the substance of the book. Harry said in May that his father had “passed down a cycle of genetic pain and suffering” to him.

The renegade royal has already begun work on his yet-to-be-titled book, which will be published next year.

Prince Harry has been working with Pulitzer Prize-winning ghostwriter J. R. Moehringer, in an unusual move from a senior member of the royal family.

Harry is said to be donating all revenues from the upcoming book to charity.

Insiders in the royal family questioned if he would keep the large sum of advance money.

Those who are familiar with Harry are reluctant to respond to the question.

The manuscript’s first draft, which is presently unnamed, is reported to be virtually finished and will be submitted in October.

Harry and Meghan inked a multimillion-dollar agreement with Netflix last year. They signed a multi-year contract to produce nature shows, children’s shows, and documentaries for the platform.

It’s unclear what Harry, 36, will include in his biography, but it will offer him the opportunity to talk openly about why he and wife Meghan Markle decided to step down from royal responsibilities in 2020, as well as how the royal family handled the loss of his mother, Princess Diana.

Royal experts questioned Harry’s motivation for publishing the book, noting that he is financially wealthy and has already discussed Megxit extensively.

In an explosive Oprah Winfrey interview, Prince Harry stated that the couple accepted the projects because they had been financially cut off by the royal family after disclosing their Megxit intentions.

He said to the talk show host, “We didn’t have a plan.”

“That was suggested by somebody else by the point of where my family literally cut me off financially, and I had to afford security for us.”

“I’ve got what my mum left me, and without that, we would not have been able to do this,” he continued.

But if Harry didn’t inform his elder brother, Prince William, about the book, things might become complicated when he sees him next – which could be sooner rather than later, according to reports.

Richard Fitzwilliams, a royal specialist, told MailOnline that Harry was using the book to ‘exorcise his demons,’ but questioned how one-sided it would be.

‘Will it be his truth or the truth? And will they be the same or different? ‘ Fitzwilliams inquired.

“I’m writing this not as the prince I was born but as the man I have become,” Harry stated of his new book.

“I’ve worn many hats over the years, both literally and figuratively, and my hope that in telling my story – the highs and lows, the mistakes, the lessons learned – I can help show that no matter where we come from, we have more in common than we think.

“I’m deeply grateful for the opportunity to share what I’ve learned over the course of my life so far and excited for people to read a firsthand account of my life that’s accurate and wholly truthful.”

Although it is thought that Harry informed his grandmother, Queen Elizabeth II, about the book, a representative for the Duke and Duchess of Sussex told Page Six that he would not be required to get approval from Buckingham Palace for a project like this.

Harry “recently” discussed the memoir with his family, according to the spokesman.
