According to a former royal employee, Princess Diana referred to one of her boys as a “airhead”.

Personal chef Darren McGrady stated how Harry is “so like” Diana, noting that the princess described her youngest son as “an airhead like me” when speaking alongside a number of Diana’s friends and confidants.

He expressed his thoughts on Twitter, claiming he was manipulated.

‘People saying Princess Diana would be proud don’t know Princess Diana. She would have been furious that Harry had been so manipulated,’ the chef wrote.

‘I remember Princess Diana in the kitchen at Kensington Palace talking about “her boys” … “William is deep like his father. Harry is an airhead like me” I guess she nailed it,’ he recalled.

‘Even in her darkest hour Princess Diana respected The Queen. She would have been so mad with Harry right now,’ Darren continued.

McGrady didn’t disclose who he thinks is manipulating Harry, but he did suggest Meghan Markle never wanted to be a member of the royal family.

He stated, “Meghan never wanted to be Royal. Meghan wanted to be famous. Meghan is famous! It’s all about Meghan!”

The string of social media posts sparked outrage on Twitter, with some calling the comments “cruel” and “horrible.”

“He calls her an airhead, disrespects her, but we’re supposed to think his opinion matters?,” one reviewer wondered.

Another person commented, “That’s a cruel comment which Diana would not appreciate you making.

“Just because he wants to lead life on his own terms, just as his mother did, does not make him an airhead.”

Such tweets were deemed “horrible behavior,” by one critic, while another stated that “he was her cook, he was not her friend.”

Meanwhile, a supporter of Darren wrote, ‘Hear, hear. Furious and disgusted and disappointed and distraught.’

‘Princess Diana had a very strong sense of monarchy. She would be furious,’ said another.

Speaking to the Daily Mail, McGrady further said, “She was so, ‘This is what I’m going to do because it’s the right thing — what do you mean it isn’t the official way — not protocol?’

“Harry is the same with Meghan, whereas William would be more, ‘What can we do here?’ and the advisers, or grey suits as Diana used to call them, would have advised him. But Harry is like his mum, instant reaction through emotion.

“The boys are different like that. She always used to say, ‘William is deep like his dad and stubborn, and Harry is a hothead like me; he does the first thing that comes into his head.

“‘They will look after the heir and I will look after the spare.’ She connected with Harry more.”
