Prince Charles won’t let Archie be a Prince, leaving Harry and Meghan furious

The Mail on Sunday reports that Prince Charles is planning to ensure that his two-year-old grandson Archie never becomes a Prince.

Archie has the right to be a Prince when he is the sovereign’s grandson, but it is believed that Charles is keen to restrict the number of key working members of the family.

It is said that he is doing so because he does not believe the people should pay for an “ever-expanding Monarchy.”

In 2020, the family got a £69.4 million public-funded Sovereign Grant, although this does not include other expenses like as security, which is paid for by the police.

According to the Mail on Sunday, Charles has informed Harry and Meghan that he will alter crucial legal documents to ensure that Archie does not receive the title he was entitled to.

The decision, which came after months of tense back-and-forth, has brought Harry’s relationship with his family to a hazardous new low.

According to a source close to the pair, “Harry and Meghan were told Archie would never be a Prince, even when Charles became King.”

The discovery comes amid a flurry of bombshell allegations made by renowned Royal historian Robert Lacey in his newly updated book Battle Of The Brothers.

Insiders said that they had not seen the move coming and were taken aback when Charles stated that he would alter the formal Letters Patent to exclude Archie and others.

Sources close to Harry and Meghan, who stepped down as frontline royals last year after moving to the United States, have said that they expected Archie to be called a Prince when Charles took the throne.

The current regulations for Royal titles were established in Letters Patent of November 20, 1917, and permitted the title of Prince and Princess to be bestowed to certain relatives.

Archie is presently too far down the line of succession to be granted the title, according to rules established by King George V more than 100 years ago.

It’s worth noting that the kind of reform Charles allegedly desires has precedence. Prior to the birth of Prince George in 2012, Queen Elizabeth issued a fresh Letters Patent of her own, making a major step to guarantee that all of Prince William and Kate Middleton’s children would acquire titles. Despite the fact that the Cambridge children, like Archie and Lili, are great-grandchildren of the sovereign, since William is a direct heir in the line of succession, his eldest son automatically gets a title. The Queen’s move changed the established norm and guaranteed that all of the couple’s offspring, including any girls, would be titled.

However, the Palace seems to be keeping quiet about Charles’ reported intentions to alter the regulations governing who receives a title. “We are not going to speculate about the succession or comment on rumors coming out of America,” a royal insider said of the latest claims, according to The Sun.

The Sussexes are said to have learned about the plans before coming down with Oprah Winfrey for their shocking interview.

The Sussexes made a series of shocking accusations earlier this year in an interview with Oprah Winfrey, in which Harry said his brother and father, Prince Charles, were “trapped” by their positions.

Insiders say the matter was still recent at the time of the interview, which may explain why they launched such harsh criticism on the monarchy, including the harmful suggestion that an unidentified senior member of the Royal Family had referred to Archie in a racist manner.

It comes after feuding brothers William and Harry agreed to a ceasefire for the unveiling of a memorial to their mother, Diana.
