Sky News Australia anchor Nick Reece slammed Prince Harry following the Duke of Sussex’s latest jab at his own family. Mr Reece applauded Harry for speaking out on mental health on Friday, but warned that people would “get tired” of hearing him criticizing the Royal Family. This comes after Harry detailed his childhood under Prince Charles and appeared to criticize the Queen and Prince Philip by association.
The Duke of Sussex told a US podcast that he wants to “break the cycle” of his upbringing’s “pain and suffering” with his own children.
He also likened his lifestyle to a cross between The Truman Show and living in a zoo.
Buckingham Palace and Clarence House did not respond to his statements.

“As parents we should be doing the most we can to say, you know what, that happened to me, I’m going to make sure it won’t happen to you,” Harry said on the Armchair Expert podcast.
“Isn’t life about breaking the cycle? There’s no blame,” he continued.
“But certainly when it comes to parenting, if I have experienced some kind of pain or suffering because of the pain or suffering that perhaps my father, or my parents had suffered, I’m going to make sure I break that cycle so I don’t pass it on.”
Mr. Reece told co-host Rita Panahi, “The fact he is out there talking about mental health is a positive thing.
“But, like you, I do wonder how many media exclusives we can go through where he talks about basically the same thing, which is his bust-up with the Royal Family.
“At some point, people are going to get tired of it.”
Ms Panahi responded: “At some point? I think we reached that point 15 months ago!
“Harry and Meghan continue to whine about media intrusion while sharing intimate details of their tortured lives with an increasingly fed up public.
“The latest instalment involves Harry claiming that Prince Charles handed down a ‘cycle’ of ‘genetic pain and suffering’ to him.
“So he’s attacking not only Prince Charles but also attacking the Queen and the way the queen raised Prince Charles.
“No-one would be listening to this guy if he wasn’t a prince. He wants all the wealth and adoration of being a member of the Royal Family without any of the duty and scrutiny.”
Lee Cohen served as an expert on Anglo-American issues for the House Foreign Affairs Committee and is currently a senior fellow at the Bow Group and the Danube Institute in the United Kingdom. According to him, Americans are turning against habitual complainers Prince Harry and his wife Meghan.
“Last year I met a New York-based British journalist who was aghast to learn that I – an American – harbored extreme doubts about our American-born Duchess, Meghan Markle,” he said. “I shocked him when I said that I could not immediately embrace someone like her — not because of background or ethnicity — but because she gave no hint of interest in the public role upon which she was embarking, or the great heritage into which she was marrying.”
He added, “Time has not removed my reservations. It’s now not so much Markle’s disinterest and incomprehension of royal service that damns her in my mind, but her wholly ego-centric stance which has brought her to deliver assault-after-cringing-assault, culminating in March’s Oprah interview in which she and her husband besmirched a Family, a great heritage, and a nation that welcomed them with hope and enthusiasm.”
“In short, the blame must lie anywhere but with them and their inability or lack of will to rise to their roles. With recent events, though, even on this side of the Atlantic, more critical, assessments are starting to be voiced.”
This comes after a top royal adviser told the Telegraph that Harry’s comments had senior royals puzzled by his “woeful lack of compassion” for his own family.
One assistant described it as “unnecessarily cruel” to “throw others under the bus” in order to make a point about mental health.
Another royal insider stated, “For a couple that have been at pains to set out their compassionate principles, they seem woefully lacking when it comes to their own family.”
“It’s not just the Prince of Wales but the Queen and the Duke of Edinburgh as well.
“It has been met with utter bemusement.”
The couple’s popularity in the United Kingdom dropped immediately following the Oprah interview. According to Cohen, a senior fellow at the Bow Group and the Danube Institute in the United Kingdom, “On both sides of the Atlantic, everyone loves the Cinderella story. But as they have gotten to know Meghan, the Brits saw what she really was – an ambitious self-promoter with a social justice agenda.”
“Now Americans are getting a chance to see what the couple are really about and the fairytale, replete with evil in-laws and half-siblings, is wearing thin.”
