Prince Harry has advised Joe Rogan, the renowned podcast presenter, to be “careful about what comes out of your mouth” after Rogan stated that young people do not need to obtain the COVID-19 vaccination.

The Duke of Sussex blasted Rogan for disseminating false information on Dax Shepard and Monica Padman’s “Armchair Expert” podcast on Thursday.

The Duke of Sussex said: “The issue is in today’s world with misinformation endemic, you’ve got to be careful about what comes out of your mouth.”

“Because news doesn’t exist in just news anymore. It’s splattered all over the place, so people like listen to Joe Rogan and say ‘oh if he says that,’ ” Harry continued.

Rogan, who also works as a UFC analyst, has come under fire for statements he made on his podcast “The Joe Rogan Experience.” During an episode, he said: “If you’re like 21 years old, and you say to me, ‘Should I get vaccinated?’ I’ll go no. If you’re a healthy person, and you’re exercising all the time, and you’re young, and you’re eating well, I don’t think you need to worry about this.”

Later, he took back his remarks.

Trending:

“I’m not a doctor, I’m a f—ing moron, and I’m a cage fighting commentator … I’m not a respected source of information, even for me. But I at least try to be honest about what I’m saying,” Rogan said.

Rogan then corrected his statements, saying, “I believe [the vaccines are] safe,’ and I encouraged many people to take them… My parents were vaccinated. I just said, ‘I don’t think that if you’re a young, healthy person, that you need it.’”

“There’s a sort of like, ‘Don’t listen to me.’ It’s like, well, don’t say that. Just stay out of it. With a platform comes responsibility,'” Prince Harry appeared to say in response to the remarks.

“What we really need to be aware of and what we cannot allow to happen, is science being politicized,” Harry stated in a clip posted Saturday by Global Citizen ahead of its star-studded Vax Live event focused at pushing COVID-19 vaccinations.

“So many things have been politicized over the years,” he added, “but vaccines cannot be politicized when we’re talking about life and death, which is what we’re talking about now.” “Being able to come together as humans, as people, is how we’re going to get ourselves out of this and we must ensure that everyone around the world has equal access to the vaccine, otherwise none of this works.”

“What we love about podcasting is that it reminds all of us to take a moment and to really listen, to connect to one another without distraction. With the challenges of 2020, there has never been a more important time to do so, because when we hear each other, and hear each other’s stories, we are reminded of how interconnected we all are,” Harry and Markle wrote in a joint statement obtained by Fox News.

Prince Harry spoke on Armchair Expert to promote The Me You Can’t See, his Apple TV+ project with Oprah Winfrey, which launches on May 21.

In December 2020, Harry and Meghan Markle launched their own podcast with Spotify through their production business Archewell Audio.
