The Queen’s cousin has slammed Harry and Meghan, urging them to “sit down and shut up.”

According to the Queen’s cousin, Meghan Markle and Prince Harry made a mistake by airing their dirty laundry in public.

The comment was made by Princess Olga Romanoff on Monday morning’s episode of Lorraine.

Princess Olga, Queen Elizabeth II’s cousin, was interviewed on ITV via video connection from her home in Kent about her forthcoming documentary.

During their candid interview with Oprah Winfrey, Meghan Markle and Prince Harry made some shocking comments. When one member of the royal family reportedly expressed confusion over Archie’s skin colour, the royal couple accused the royal family of being racist. The Queen’s cousin addressed the matter and supported the royal family.

Lorraine wanted to know Princess Olga’s thoughts on modern royals giving public interviews, so she asked, “The Queen has this thing doesn’t she?”

Trending:

“She never complains. Never explains. That comes from the Queen Mother, too.

“But her children and her grandchildren have given extensive TV interviews. We have seen that. Do you think that is the way ahead to sort of modernise the Royal Family?

“Or do you think people should just shush?”

“Well, I was taught to ‘sit down and shut up’ and never wash your dirty linen in public, no matter what it might be,” Olga responded.

“I think the Queen does it right.”

Lorraine agreed with a nod: “Yes. She just gets on with it .”

Ingrid Seward, a royal biographer, was also critical of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s decision to discuss their personal problems on national television.

Prince Harry, according to Seward, decided to shake things up. He said that the Duke of Sussex was well aware of what he was doing and was unsurprised by the consequences of his decisions. In reality, he didn’t seem to have any regrets about it at all.

She couldn’t understand why Markle had to say Buckingham Palace had rejected her plea for mental health assistance. It was troublesome for Seward because she should have asked her husband for assistance. Prince Harry, according to Seward, was in treatment himself, so he must have known someone who could support his wife.

Princess Olga’s remarks come at an odd moment for the Queen and the Royal Family, who have recently been in the spotlight more than average.

Sadly, the Queen’s husband, Prince Philip, died last month at the age of 99.

Their uncle, Prince Andrew, recently made public comments about his friendship with Jeffrey Epstein, which attracted backlash.

A royal insider has advised Prince Harry and Meghan Markle to “get on with their lives” and avoid openly criticizing their family.

Only two months after his bombshell interview with Oprah, the Duke of Sussex blasted his father’s parenting skills this week.

And his latest claims, which he made on the Armchair Expert podcast with Dax Shephard on the same day as the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge’s official engagements in Wolverhampton, were said to have “usurped” their efforts.

“It was such a lovely day for the Cambridges,” a royal source told The Times.

“It is a shame that it got usurped by what Harry had to say.

“Nobody is shocked any more. It is more: ‘Here we go again.’

“But he should be told that these grievances should be aired in the privacy of your own home.

“Don’t do it publicly in a podcast. Get on with your life.”
