A woman has filed a legal motion to have Prince Harry arrested for failure to fulfill his vow to marry her.

Palwinder Kaur, an Indian advocate, filed a petition with the Punjab and Haryana High Court alleging that the Duke of Sussex approached her via social media and proposed after a lengthy email correspondence.

Palwinder Kaur says that she also contacted Prince Charles to tell him of the couple’s wedding plans.

The lawyer requested that the Indian authorities issue a foreign arrest warrant so that the police and the United Kingdom can detain Harry and compel him to fulfill his promise to marry “without further delay”.

Kaur, who argued her argument without the assistance of a counsel, turned over email correspondence between her and Prince Harry to the court.

The case is submitted by the woman as the complainant, among others, against “Prince Harry Middleton”

“Prayer in this petition filed by the petitioner, who is an advocate is appearing in person, is to take legal action against Prince Harry Middleton son of Prince Charles Middleton resident of the United United Kingdom and to direct the United Kingdom Police Cell to take action against him, as, despite a promise to marry the petitioner, the said promise has not been fulfilled.” Ms Kaur writes in her petition.

She did, however, confess to the judges that she had never met either Prince Harry or Prince Charles, so the court was sympathetic to her case: not so much that the young prince had abandoned her, but because of the most likely possibility was that she had been duped in an online scheme.

When questioned by the judge, Mr. Justice Arvind Singh Sangwan, she acknowledged that all of their alleged interaction had been via email and social media.

She went on to say that she had reluctantly taken the decision of requesting intervention from the court after writing to Prince Harry’s father, Prince Charles.

Ms Kaur appears to have received no answer from Prince Charles after informing him that Harry was engaged to her but was not following through with his pledge to marry her.

Her appeal was denied by the High Court. “There is every possibility that so-called Prince Harry may be sitting in a cyber cafe of a village in Punjab, looking for greener pastures for himself,” the judges noted in their decision.

“It is a well-known fact that fake IDs are created on various social media sites like Facebook, Twitter, etc, and authenticity of such conversation cannot be relied upon by this court,” said Justice Arvind Singh Sangwan.

“I find that this petition is nothing, but just a daydreamer’s fantasy about marrying Prince Harry,” he said.

Meghan Markle, an American actress, is Prince Harry’s current wife.
