Meghan Markle’s father, Thomas Markle Sr., was scheduled to walk her down the aisle, but he was unable to do so after suffering a heart attack as a result of the pressures of being outed for staging paparazzi pictures.

There was some question as to whether Meghan would walk herself down the aisle, or be given away by her mother, Doria Ragland. However, she was accompanied by Prince Charles, her soon-to-be father-in-law.

Meghan revealed on Twitter at the time that her father would “not be attending our wedding.” “I have always cared for my father,” she said, “and I hope he can be given the space he needs to focus on his health.”

According to reports, a recent documentary honoring Prince Charles’ 70th birthday depicts the special moment between the royal and his new daughter-in-law, Duchess Meghan.

The documentary “Prince, Son and Heir: Charles at 70,” which airs Thursday on BBC One, is about Charles, who will reach a new decade on Nov. 14.

According to E! News and People magazine, one of the highlights of the feature is when Prince Harry begged his father to lead Meghan down the aisle.

“I asked him to and I think he knew it was coming and he immediately said, ‘Yes, of course, I’ll do whatever Meghan needs and I’m here to support you,'” , Harry reveals.

“For him that’s a fantastic opportunity to step up and be that support, and you know he’s our father so of course he’s gonna be there for us.”

Meghan’s father was grateful that Prince Charles could fill in for him, despite some of his less-than-flattering remarks towards the royal family. He said he was “honored and grateful” to Harry’s father for bringing his daughter down the aisle at the time, according to TMZ.

Kensington Palace revealed the day before the couple’s May 19 wedding that Charles would do the honors in place of Meghan’s father.

TMZ announced the week before the wedding that Markle would have cardiac surgery in his adopted country of Mexico and would be unable to travel.

As a consequence, she walked the chapel’s checkered floor alone until she entered the quire, where the royal family was sitting, waving at her love from under a 16½-foot-long silk tulle veil. Charles took her arm at that stage and guided her the rest of the way.

As Charles and Meghan approached Harry on the wedding day, the groom said, “Thank you, Pa.” to his father.

“You’ve gotta say thank you. Just because he’s my father that doesn’t mean I can just sort of go, ‘Okay, that’s all, I’ll take it from here ,'”  Harry describes a nice moment in the documentary.

“Err, no, that is what I wanted to say but erm…and I was very grateful for him to be able to do that.”

I think her mother Doria Ragland should have accompanied her down the aisle being the only relative of Meghan’s at the wedding. Meghan has thrown all the good will back in Charles face with her lies and behaviour.

Markle’s behavior has been text book narcissistic, no sense of class or gratefulness.
    Shame on her.
