Rob Lowe Says He Saw Prince Harry with a Ponytail, compares him to Loch Ness monster

Actor Rob Lowe has playfully compared the Duke of Sussex to the Loch Ness monster since he is seldom seen in his neighborhood.

During an appearance on The Late Late Show With James Corden, Lowe said that he had just seen Harry driving his car — with a ponytail.

He then recounted driving up close the Duke in his car, but the talk show host remained skeptical.

“I just ran into your countryman, the English treasure, Prince Harry, at the stoplight 10 minutes ago,” the 56-year-old actor explained. “He lives about a mile from me. He’s been very reclusive. Seeing him in the neighborhood is like seeing the Loch Ness Monster, and I finally saw him. I finally saw him driving his car.”

Lowe thinks he may have had a follicular scoop as a result of the sighting. He went on, “It was very, very quick—don’t totally quote me on it—but it looked like he’s wearing a ponytail. I’m just saying. It looked to me as a casual observer that his hair had grown very long and was pulled back very tightly by what I can only assume was a ponytail.”

“I’m certain that isn’t true,” Corden said to Lowe. “I think you didn’t see Prince Harry.”

“Oh no, it was him because I have to say — I followed him to the house to see if the car went in,” Lowe retorted.

Lowe’s story is difficult to believe, especially for someone like Harry who has spent his whole life freshly trimmed and dressed sharply, but perhaps life on the West Coast has already begun to loosen up the prince.

The Sussexes relocated to America with their son Archie last March after stepping down as working royals to pursue financial and personal freedom.

An insider told Us earlier last month that Harry, 39, is “thriving” in the quiet area after spending many months in Los Angeles with Meghan.

“Harry doesn’t have any regrets about leaving the royal family whatsoever and is really happy in Montecito. He and Meghan are enjoying their new life in California — being a normal family and having the freedom to make their own decisions without anyone watching over them,” the source said. “[He] has grown in confidence since the move. Harry isn’t looking back, although he does miss his friends at home.”
