This weekend, it was revealed that Meghan Markle’s father, Thomas Markle, staged paparazzi photos of himself preparing for his daughter’s wedding. According to TMZ, he had a heart attack six days ago and, although he was able to check himself out of the hospital, he will no longer accompany Meghan down the aisle because he “doesn’t want to embarrass the royal family or his daughter.”

Meghan Markle is unhappy that her father, Thomas Markle, was seen apparently arranging pictures with photographers less than a week before her wedding to Prince Harry, a source close to Meghan exclusively tells Us Weekly.

“Meghan is upset and disturbed by the entire ordeal and just wants to move past it,” a source tells Us Weekly. “She doesn’t want to let anything ruin her day and is trying to keep focus on the weekend.”

According to the source, Markle’s relationship with her father “has always been strained” due to “his ill-thought-out decisions and his lack of responsibility.”

Meghan’s half-sister, Samantha Markle, on the other hand, dismissed the feud and claimed that her father and the actress are fine.

On Sunday, May 13, the Daily Mail released video showing Thomas arriving at an internet café in Mexico with a photographer called Jeff Rayner. In the pictures, Thomas and Rayner seem to be collaborating to locate the ideal position to photograph the 73-year-old seated at a computer, reading a news article about Meghan and Harry.

Samantha, confessed she persuaded Meghan’s father to arrange the photos, but Thomas obviously does not feel comfortable attending his daughter’s wedding.

“Their relationship was always good and it still is,” Samantha told Fox News. “Don’t believe anything you read in tabloids… It’s just not true. Those stories are written to create controversy and sell magazines.”

“Now my father, when we see these tabloids, and it’s every day, we just roll our eyes… There are so many rumors, like Meghan doesn’t get along with her dad or he’s reclusive. He’s not. They talk regularly… Her relationship growing up with him was great. It’s still great now,” she continued

A reliable source revealed.

“Meghan is disappointed that her father hasn’t spoken up and stopped his children from trashing her in the press,”

“Instead, she sees his collaboration with Samantha, who Meghan feels he is much closer to, and it hurts her.”

The news comes as the royal family prepares for the wedding on May 19, when Markle Sr. was supposed to meet Prince Harry for the first time and accompany his daughter down the aisle at St. George’s Chapel.

Meanwhile, Samantha pleaded with the “Suits” actress earlier this year to assist their father financially. According to her, their father provided Markle with the finest education, social connections, and business contacts. As a result, the future royals should financially support their father’s.

This isn’t Thomas’s first time being photographed by paparazzi. In recent months, he has been seen reading a book on London in a Starbucks, being measured for his wedding suit, and working out outdoors. According to the Daily Mail, all of the photos were staged, and Kensington Palace had urged photographers to respect Thomas’ privacy.

There has been no news on who will now accompany Meghan down the aisle.
