The hosts of Seven’s The Morning Show slammed Prince Harry for making seemingly conflicting remarks regarding his planned memoir.

The Duke of Sussex said that he will be writing “an intimate and heartfelt” account of his life, providing an unparalleled look into the Royal Family and life after Brexit.

In a press statement announcing his plans, Harry claimed that he is “writing this book not as the Prince I was born but as the man I have become”

When co-anchors Larry Emdur and Kylie Gillies spoke to entertainment reporter Peter Ford, they couldn’t help but giggle at Harry’s choice of words in a press release promoting his book.

“I do love this statement Prince Harry made when he says he is writing this book ‘not as the Prince he was born, but as the man he’s become’ and he’s signed it as Prince Harry, Duke of Sussex,” said Sunrise entertainment correspondent Peter Ford.

“Talk about having it both ways!”

And Emdur put in: “Hang onto that Sussex bit!”

All three hosts were taken aback by Harry’s decision to write the book, which will be published by Penguin Random House, while the Queen was still living.

In response to the shocking news, Peter said, ” I might add, the Duke and Duchess of Windsor, who they are often compared to, did also write their autobiographies.”

“It’s not unheard of, for these estranged members of the Royal Family to write books.”

They also had a lot to say about their decision to utilize a big publishing firm to spread the word, while pledging to use “grassroots” organizations.

Ford put in: “This is all officially announced by Random House. Remember how they spoke about how they’d be working only with grassroots media organisations and up-and-coming journalists?

“Random House and Oprah? We’re off to a great start on that, aren’t we, with that pledge!”

Prince Harry said the book is about his life’s ‘mistakes’ and ‘lessons learned.’

The Royal Family was taken aback by Prince Harry’s book contract since they had no idea he was working on one.

The presenters also questioned if Harry had informed the rest of the Royal Family about his plans to publish the book, which they believed he had been working on with a ghostwriter since last year.

“I’m writing this not as the prince I was born but as the man I have become,” the Duke stated in a statement.

“I’ve worn many hats over the years, both literally and figuratively, and my hope is that in telling my story – the highs and lows, the mistakes, the lessons learned – I can help show that no matter where we come from, we have more in common than we think.”

‘I’m deeply grateful for the opportunity to share what I’ve learned over the course of my life so far and excited for people to read a firsthand account of my life that’s accurate and wholly truthful.’

It has been suggested that the Duke would receive a $20 million advance, however it is unclear if this will go to charity.

His memoir will detail his childhood and royal life, as well as his military career and stints in Afghanistan, as well as his reasons for quitting the Royal Family.

It comes as pressure mounts on Harry and his wife, Meghan Markle, to refrain from using their royal titles in public after the pair publicly criticized the Firm in the media.

Recently, almost 50,000 individuals signed an online petition organized by Lady Colin Campbell urging the Sussexes to “voluntarily” request that the Queen place their “royal-style titles and rank in absence”
