The stress of their no-holds-barred interview with Oprah Winfrey is creating some friction between Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, who are due to participate in one of the most dramatic and highly-anticipated interviews in royal history this weekend.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle aren’t seen in California very frequently, but a paparazzi caught a picture of them driving near Santa Barbara on Sunday. The photos were published by the Daily Mail, and they showed Meghan in the front seat with Harry, who was driving, wearing a trendy sun hat and sunglasses. The Duke of Sussex was dressed in a white polo shirt and black sunglasses.

In exclusive photos acquired by DailyMail.com, Prince Harry, 36, is seen driving his 39-year-old wife near their $14.5 million property in Montecito in the couple’s Range Rover.

The former Suits star’s mother Doria Ragland sat in the back seat behind her daughter, and it’s unknown where they were going. Archie, their 21-month-old son, did not seem to accompany his parents on their trip.

Meghan and Harry were last seen in California in December, when they were seen shopping in Beverly Hills.

The pair looked extremely solemn and stayed partly concealed from the camera.

Meghan seemed to be dewy-eyed and bare-faced. It was a far cry from the glitz she’ll be wearing in a two-hour CBS interview with friend Oprah Winfrey, 67, on March 7. The first 30 second teaser clip, which featured the former actress with a dramatic deep, black smoky eye, rich coral blush, and a pink lip, emerged just as Harry and Meghan were out on a Sunday drive. Meghan sat down with her black hair pulled back and tendrils surrounding her face.

The two-hour program will be their first opportunity to speak openly about what led to their decision to retire from top royal family positions permanently.

When the interview was originally revealed last month, it sent shockwaves through Buckingham Palace, with experts and insiders advising the royal family to ‘hide behind the sofa’ when it airs, fearing what the pair may say about their treatment by Harry’s relatives and palace officials.

Meghan wore a black Armani gown with white floral-like splotches on one shoulder, which cost $4,700. Only 19 months after their $30 million wedding, they made the shocking announcement that they would be stepping down from royal family responsibilities. Oprah posed the sensitive question, “Were you silent or were you silenced?” right away in the teaser trailer, and Meghan responded with a stern expression.

Two 30-second teasers from the interview were published on Sunday. Prince Harry made a comparison between their experience and that of his late mother, Princess Diana, in one.

Buckingham Palace should be ‘scared’ of the ‘wide-ranging’ interview, according to royal experts, especially after it was revealed that the primetime sit-down had been extended from 90 minutes to two hours – possibly to allow the couple to discuss the finalization of Megxit, which happened one day after the shoot originally wrapped.

During the conversation, Meghan mentioned something that prompted Oprah to remark, “almost unsurvivable sounds like there was a breaking point.”

“You know, for me, I’m just really relieved and happy to be sitting here, talking to you, with my wife by my side because I can’t begin to imagine what it must have been like for her [Diana], going through this process by herself, all those years ago, because it has been unbelievably tough for the two of us, but at least we have each other,” Harry said to Oprah.

Meghan responded quietly, “Yeah.”

Until now, the Duchess has been silent about her choice to leave the royal family, and it is probable that her interview with Oprah will be the first time she speaks openly about her reasons for leaving the UK and what it was like to join the royal family.
