Actress Brooke Shields revealed to People magazine that Tom Cruise, her former friend, stopped sending her a cake for Christmas without explanation.

Shields stated that she had been on Cruise’s Christmas list for 10 years, and she received a coconut cake each year.

However, in recent years, the cake has stopped arriving, and she doesn’t know why.

Shields also commented on the absence of Cruise’s daughter, Suri, and his ex-wife, Katie Holmes, in his Christmas card, which Shields used to receive from him.

Initially, the card featured a photo of Cruise, Holmes, and Suri, but then the picture changed, showing only Cruise and finally stopped coming altogether.

Shields clarified that this had nothing to do with the infamous feud they had in the past over her postpartum depression medication.

Trending:

In 2005, Cruise had criticized Shields for taking medication for postpartum depression, calling it “irresponsible” and “dangerous.”

Shields had fired back at Cruise, stating that his comments were “a disservice to mothers everywhere.”

The incident led to a public feud between the two. However, the two managed to reconcile and remained friends over the years.

Shields was even invited to Cruise and Holmes’ 2006 wedding and threw a joint 1st birthday party for her daughter and Suri the following year.

Cruise and Holmes divorced in 2012, and he no longer has a relationship with his 16-year-old daughter, Suri.

Shields expressed surprise about how fast time had flown by when she learned that Suri was almost as old as she was when she started filming “Dawson’s Creek.”

Shields and her daughter, Rowan, have been spending time with Holmes and Suri during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Shields said that they all had a good laugh over the show, which aired six seasons on the WB network.

The media has reported on Cruise’s contentious relationships with some of his celebrity friends in the past.

In 2012, the actor had a feud with Matt Lauer after the NBC anchor questioned Cruise’s opposition to psychiatric medication.

Later in the same year, Cruise’s attorney threatened to sue the National Enquirer after the publication claimed that Cruise had “abandoned” his daughter, Suri.

Cruise is known for his affiliation with the Church of Scientology.

The actor has been a member of the church since the 1980s, and his involvement has been the subject of much media scrutiny.

Cruise’s former co-star on the television show “Cheers,” Kirstie Alley, has also been involved with the Church of Scientology. She has said that the church helped her overcome her addiction to cocaine.

Despite the controversy surrounding Cruise, the actor has enjoyed a successful career in Hollywood, with several critically acclaimed and commercially successful films to his credit.

Cruise’s most recent film, “Top Gun: Maverick,” is set to release in November 2022. The film is a sequel to the 1986 hit “Top Gun,” which cemented Cruise’s status as a leading man in Hollywood.
