Oksana Grigorieva, the former girlfriend of Mel Gibson, appeared on Larry King Live to discuss her tumultuous breakup and custody dispute with Gibson over their one-year-old daughter, Lucia.

During the interview, Grigorieva recounted the events of January 6th, when she claims Gibson attacked her while she was holding their daughter.

Grigorieva stated that she decided to record subsequent conversations with Gibson in order to create an audio record that she could play for him, hoping that he would realize he needed help.

Grigorieva went on to explain that she feared for her life after the January 6th incident and believed that Gibson might harm her.

She revealed that this was why she decided to record their conversations secretly, so she would have evidence if Gibson ever attacked her again.

Grigorieva maintained that she never leaked the tapes to the media and that she believed they were leaked by legal authorities who had access to the recordings.

During the interview, Grigorieva accused Gibson of being controlling and abusive. She claimed that Gibson had threatened to kill her and was prone to fits of rage.

Grigorieva stated that she was afraid of Gibson and that she felt trapped in their relationship.

She also revealed that Gibson had allegedly cheated on her multiple times during their relationship.

Grigorieva’s attorney suggested that the leaks of the audio recordings came from law enforcement, and not from Grigorieva or anyone associated with her.

He stated that they believed the leaks were a violation of Grigorieva’s privacy and that they planned to take legal action.

Gibson’s representatives declined to comment on Grigorieva’s accusations, but they did release a statement saying that Gibson was focused on the well-being of his daughter and that he hoped to resolve the custody dispute amicably.

In the months following the interview, the custody dispute between Grigorieva and Gibson continued to escalate.

Grigorieva accused Gibson of failing to pay child support and filed a restraining order against him.

Gibson responded by filing a restraining order of his own, claiming that Grigorieva was trying to extort him for money.

The legal battle between Grigorieva and Gibson eventually ended in August of 2011 when the two reached a settlement.

As part of the settlement, Gibson agreed to pay Grigorieva a substantial amount of money and provide her with a house. Grigorieva also agreed to drop the domestic violence allegations against Gibson.

The incident with Grigorieva was not the first time Gibson had been accused of abusive behavior. In 2006, Gibson was arrested for DUI and made anti-Semitic remarks to the arresting officer.

In 2010, he was recorded making racist and sexist comments during a conversation with Grigorieva. The incidents caused a significant backlash against Gibson and led to a decline in his acting career.
