Victoria Justice has set the record straight on rumors of a feud between her and former Victorious co-star, Ariana Grande.
During a recent episode of Chicks in the Office, the 28-year-old singer dismissed the speculation as “silly” and “crazy”.
Victoria explained that much of the drama came from media and fans who fanned the flames online.
However, she emphasized that she and the rest of the former castmates of Victorious are all supportive of each other.
“I love Ariana, and she’s killing it right now. And she’s been so supportive of me and my music. And you know, we text. It’s really cool. So, everything’s all good,” she said.
The rumors of a feud between the two women have been circulating for years, but Victoria says she doesn’t let them bring her down.
“It is a little frustrating to see how people do love to pit women against each other,” she said.
“But I think at the end of the day, it’s all about us, like, supporting each other and building each other up.”
Victoria also revealed that she tries to ignore any negative comments she sees on social media.
“I feel like I also have a lot of people that support me, so, I’m thankful for that,” she said.
“But it’s all good honestly. You know, there’s always going to be haters, and that’s OK. It just is what it is. It comes with the territory.”
Victoria and Ariana starred as Cat Valentine and Tori Vega respectively on the Nickelodeon show Victorious from 2010 to 2013.
Looking back, Victoria fondly remembered the show as “one of the greatest times of my life.”
After the show ended, Ariana went on to star in Sam & Cat and has since released several number one hits.
Meanwhile, Victoria continued to pursue acting and has recently released her first single in seven years, “Treat Myself,” and a new song, “Stay.”
When asked about the possibility of a reunion show for Victorious, Victoria was open to the idea but uncertain about the current plans.
“I’ve gotten together with the cast and we’ve all hung out and I love them all dearly and so much. I mean, I would be down to do a little something. I don’t know.”
“To be honest, I really don’t know what is going on with all of that. But I love that cast a lot and had so much fun working with them back in the day and, you know, would love to hang out with them again for sure,” she said.
