Michelle Rodriguez, former star of the hit TV show “Lost,” has been sentenced to six months in jail in Los Angeles for violating her probation on previous drunk driving and hit-and-run offenses.

The actress was also sentenced to jail time for lying about having completed her required community service.

According to Frank Mateljan, a spokesman for the Los Angeles County Superior Court, Rodriguez filed a document claiming that she had completed her community service on September 25th.

However, evidence was later discovered that showed she was in New York on that day.

In addition to lying about completing her community service, Rodriguez was also found to have consumed alcohol on at least three occasions while wearing an ankle monitoring bracelet.

This violated a probation requirement that she refrain from drinking for 90 days.

The probation violation stems from a 2004 plea of no contest to three traffic offenses in Los Angeles, including hit-and-run and drunk driving.

This is not the first time Rodriguez has faced jail time for violating her probation.

In May 2006, she was sentenced to 60 days in jail, but was released after just four hours and 20 minutes due to overcrowding.

In 2006, Rodriguez was also sentenced to five days in jail in Hawaii after being found guilty in a separate drunk driving case.

In that instance, she opted for jail time instead of accepting a judge’s offer of community service.

In the latest case, Judge Daviann Mitchell has ordered that Rodriguez not be granted community service, early release, or home confinement.

She has also been ordered to complete 30 days of service for the state transportation department.

Rodriguez first rose to fame with her portrayal of a female boxer in the 2000 indie film “Girlfight.” She has since starred in several other movies, including “The Fast and the Furious” and “Blue Crush.”

Her character on “Lost,” police officer Ana-Lucia Cortez, was killed off after appearing in about two dozen episodes.

The actress’ legal troubles and subsequent jail sentence have come as a surprise to many fans and members of the entertainment industry.

Rodriguez had been working on several projects before her sentencing, and it is unclear how her jail time will affect her career.
