After Bill Cosby was freed from jail by the Pennsylvania Supreme Court, some people are now interested in his marriage to Camille.

Bill Cosby’s wife, Camille Cosby, was overjoyed when word came that he would be freed from jail after his sexual assault conviction was reversed.

He was detained only days before the 12-year statute of limitations expired in late 2015.

Cosby, dubbed “America’s Dad,” was found guilty of drugging and assaulting a Temple University employee at his suburban home.

Bill Cosby and his wife Camille stayed married throughout the ordeal. In fact, she has been emphatic about his innocence and has shown her support for her husband on many occasions. Bill Cosby’s release will most likely be the first time he sees her since he was convicted and imprisoned.

When asked whether he had talked to Camille, 77, Bill’s lawyer, Brian Perry, told Us Weekly on June 30 that the producer was “ecstatic, relieved, happy” at the news. Camille resides near the Pennsylvania prison where her husband was held until his release on Wednesday afternoon, according to the lawyer. “I assume we will meet and all be there [when he’s released],” Perry said.

Camille Cosby married the famous American actor in 1964 and has five children with him. She also served as his manager throughout his career.

She defended her spouse against accusations that he sexually abused several women during his career.

Camille issued a statement in 2014 claiming that her husband had been falsely accused.

“The man I met, fell in love with, and continue to love is the man you all knew through his work,” she said.

“He is a wonderful husband, father, and friend.”

“He is the man you thought you knew. A different man has been portrayed in the media … It is the portrait of a man I do not know. It is also a portrait painted by organizations painted by individuals and organizations whom many in the media has given a pass. There appears to be no vetting of my husband’s accusers before stories are published or aired.”

When asked whether Bill had been faithful to her in the 2016 deposition, she refused to answer questions, citing spousal privilege.

Camille previously stated that she did not want to see Bill Cosby in a prison setting, and as a result, she hasn’t seen him in over two years. Regardless, she won’t have to wait long since he’s on his way back to his own house.

Camille has previously said that she believes her husband’s accusers are lying and that the case against him is “unethical.”

“Since when are all accusers truthful?” she asked in a three-page statement released in May 2018. “In the case of Bill Cosby, unproven accusations evolved into lynch mobs, who publicly and privately coerced cancellations of Bill Cosby’s scheduled performances; syndications of The Cosby Show, rescissions of honorary degrees and a vindictive attempt to close an exhibition of our collection of African American Art.”
