In a video that went viral late Sunday night, Ezra Miller appears to choke a lady in a pub in Reykjavik, Iceland.

Miller’s disturbing video initially surfaced on social media on April 6, 2020. It started with Miller talking to an unknown woman outside a pub.

“Oh, you wanna fight? That’s what you wanna do? says a man in the seven-second footage to a young lady, who smiles and looks to be humorously preparing for a fight.

They then apparently grab her by the throat and drag her along the pavement. “Woah, bro, bro,” the person behind the camera exclaims, then quickly stops filming. According to a bar source, the incident in the video occurred after a group of “overly enthusiastic” fans approached the actor, causing Miller to lose his cool with one fan in particular. The actor was taken out the premises by Priki Kaffihs employees. At this moment, little else is known. Miller has been silent about the event.

Variety spoke with a source from Priki Kaffihs, the Reykjavik bar where the incident occurred, who identified the person in the video as Miller and confirmed that the altercation was serious. Miller appears in the unusual video wearing a red coat, pink scarf, and shoes amid what appears to be snow.

Police in Reykjavik refused to acknowledge that Miller was involved, claiming that they were not summoned to the area and that no one had been arrested or detained as a result of the incident.

Meanwhile, a different account of the event is making the rounds on social media. It’s from Twitter user kylie lampe, who claims to be the video’s original source. Her post, as well as her profile, is no longer accessible, but some admirers were able to grab a snapshot of her upload, giving us her perspective. According to her Facebook post, she is friends with the woman in the video and was there when the incident occurred. Her companion “jokingly challenged him to a fight,” but he took it too seriously and “choke slammed her to the ground,” she stated. Miller was then yanked away from the lady by the lads, but the actor spit on Lampe’s brother and the pub’s bartender.

The event occurred at 6 p.m. on April 1 at Prikid Kaffihus, a fashionable pub in central Reykjavik, according to Variety.
