Kate Beckinsale was hospitalized last month after sustaining an injury while putting on a pair of leggings in her hotel room.

Beckinsale, 48, appeared on Monday’s edition of The Late Late Show With James Corden, where she discussed the terrible leg injury she suffered while filming Prisoner’s Daughter in Las Vegas.

“Having done eight or 900 action movies, I hurt myself putting on a pair of leggings in my hotel room,” she explained. “I was in my hotel room putting on a pair of leggings, and it felt like a sort of guitar string snapped and everything was horrible. I mean, worse than having a baby bad.”

Getting to the hospital was difficult since she couldn’t walk, lie down, or sit.

“Eventually an ambulance came and they sort of rolled out a sheet and picked me up in it like a sort of sausage and put me on a gurney,” she explained.

Beckinsale has recovered, but she laughed about the prescription she was given in the hospital, claiming it indicated what “kind of drunk” she would be, despite the fact that she doesn’t drink.

“So I’m not a kind of ‘do you know who I am, have you seen all my films?’ type which is a huge relief, so I’m really glad I’m not. But I am a ‘everybody’s trying to steal my (expletive) ovaries’ person,” she said.

Beckinsale posted an Instagram selfie of herself in the hospital last month. She expressed gratitude to her followers for their well-wishes and stated that she was “feeling a lot better.”

Beckinsale tweeted a selfie of herself wearing a lace gown and black tights with the caption “Oops #Vegas” just days before her accident. Prisoner’s Daughter, the film she was making in Las Vegas, depicts the story of a father who spent over a decade in jail and is now attempting to reconcile with his daughter and grandson.

The British actress celebrated her 48th birthday in July with a touching reunion with her daughter, Lily Mo Sheen, whom she hadn’t seen in two years due to the coronavirus outbreak.

“Two years of not seeing your child is, to me, the most preposterous thought. It’s ridiculous,” Beckinsale said on “Live With Kelly and Ryan.” The mother-daughter duo reunited in New York for “the best birthday,” Beckinsale shared on Instagram.
