Anya Taylor-Joy and Matt Smith, who co-star in the film Last Night In Soho, stunned on the red carpet at the 78th Venice Film Festival for the premiere of their new film Last Night In Soho, fueling romance rumors.

On the red carpet, the Queen’s Gambit actress sported a fuschia Dior gown with a matching hat and shoes as she stood with Mr Smith.

Anya wore a dress with a belt around her waist and a spectacular train on the front, which she paired with a pair of black stilettos.

Pink shoes, a diamond necklace, and loose waves in her blonde hair completed the ensemble.

The actress looked happy as she stood next to Matt, who was dressed in a black Giorgio Armani suit with satin lapels, a dark grey shirt, and dress shoes.

Anya and Matt fueled relationship rumors after putting on a cuddly display in a water taxi earlier in the day.

Ms Taylor-Joy was seen caressing the actor’s hair as they made their way to the event on the boat.

The couple sat apart in shots taken during their boat journey before scooting closer to one another. Matt was spotted with one arm laying behind Anya as she looked at him with adoration.

Anya has been seen kissing her musician lover Malcolm McRae, 27, on a break from festival responsibilities, so these two are just buddies.

Mr Smith dated actress Lily James for five years before the two split in 2020.

Last Night In Soho is an homage to the ‘psychological thrillers I really adore,’ according to director Edgar Wright, and includes films by Michael Powell, Alfred Hitchcock, Mario Bava, and Dario Argento.

Wright said at the festival: ‘I guess I wanted to find a way to sort of make a London version of that. I actually live around the corner from most of the locations in [Michael Powell’s] Peeping Tom. So it’s something that’s never far from my mind, because it’s something I literally walk past every day.

Anya plays a frightening showgirl from 1960s London who wishes to be a modern-day fashion student, portrayed by Thomasin McKenzie, in the film.

The time-traveling psychological thriller garnered a standing ovation at the festival and has been praised by critics.

It will be released in October 2021, with theatres reopening all around the world.
