According to BuzzFeed, a Washington Post column contrasting Donald Trump to Michael Corleone from The Godfather trilogy had a contentious quote that was later edited before its publication on Tuesday.

According to columnist Richard Cohen, President-elect Donald Trump allegedly inquired, “Is it wrong to be sexually attracted to your own daughter more than your wife?”

Trump was allegedly referring to his 13-year-old daughter, Ivanka, at the time.

According to BuzzFeed News, the draft was distributed to other outlets for syndication on Monday. However, when it was published on Tuesday, the article, headlined “Our next president, the Godfather,” was missing a little but essential detail. Cohen’s allegations about Trump inquiring about Ivanka was no longer available.

Here’s the original version:

Jared Kushner, our Tom Hagen, who married Trump’s stunning daughter Ivanka — “Can I ask you something?” Trump asked someone I know, about his then-13-year-old kid, “Is it wrong to be more sexually attracted to your own daughter than your wife?” — has lately lost some of this Boy Scout aura. It turns out Kushner’s admission to Harvard was preceded by his father’s $2.5 million pledge.

Cohen’s piece delves into the president elect’s muddled familial and political links as he prepares to take the oath of office.

Later in the day, outlets got a revised version of the column, with the information between the “—” deleted. None of the sites that syndicate Cohen’s column appear to have used the draft quotation.

Fred Hiatt, the Washington Post’s editorial page editor, dismissed inquiries about the change. “We (or the Washington Post Writers Group, our affiliated syndicate) edit every column to try to make it as good as it can be,” Hiatt explained to BuzzFeed News. “We don’t think it would be fair to our writers to discuss the editing process, and don’t see what is to be gained by talking about things that are not published—there are countless drafts that never see the light of day.”

It’s unclear who gave Cohen the story or whether the account is even accurate, which might be one of the reasons the remark was removed from the column.

This isn’t the first time Trump has made improper comments regarding his daughter. In 2003, he claimed on the Howard Stern Show, “she’s got the best body.” The next year, he returned to Stern, agreeing with the radio host that she was a “A piece of ass.” On The View, he also said, “I’ve said if Ivanka weren’t my daughter, perhaps I’d be dating her.”

In the past, Ivanka has apparently had to cope with her own father making weird statements about her. Trump allegedly likened a camera operator on The Apprentice to his daughter, saying, “only Ivanka was prettier”
