A California lady who was once one of the most popular p*rn performers in the world has begun a new career as a pastor.

At Cornerstone Church in San Diego, Brittni De La Mora and her husband, both 31, teach the gospel. Brittni was one of the world’s hottest female adult entertainers under the stage name Jenna Presley, starring in over 300 videos and earning over 30,000 dollars per month before exiting the profession.

She met God after suffering drug addiction and suicidal thoughts, and she fell in love with her pastor, Richard De La Mora, at the same time. In 2016, the couple, both 31 years old, married.

‘There was a period in the p*rn industry where I was earning a lot of money. When I first started, I was making about $30,000 a month, because I was working every day,’ she said.

‘I had a brand new Mercedes and every new Louis Vuitton purse, Christian Louboutin heels… I really played the part.’

Now she works as a real estate agent and uses her voice at the local church to assist religious people understand the stigma that adult film stars face.

She told Barcroft Media, “I used to be named one of the world’s hottest p*rn stars. I tried to quit the p*rn industry without the help of God, and the reality is I couldn’t do it because God and p*rn don’t mix.”

Brittni, on the other hand, said that the cameras failed to portray the turbulence in her personal life.

‘I was struggling to pay my rent because I had a really bad drug addiction. I would spend thousands and thousands of dollars a week on drugs,’ she added.

‘I started off with cocaine but then eventually I was battling a heroin addiction.’

Brittni was initially exposed to the sex business while on a trip to Mexico with her pals when she was 16 years old. She got intoxicated in a club and was forced to undress on stage.

‘I felt rejected as a child and teenager, in my households there was a lot of chaos and animosity, so I started looking for love and acceptance in all the wrong places,’ she explained.

‘When my friend said they were going to go out to a club, I went with them and ended up getting drunk.

‘That was my first experience at a strip club. I had blonde hair and braces and they just put me on the stage that night.’

Brittni began stripping to help pay for college, but she was swiftly swooped up by a couple of adult entertainment producers. “I was naïve, but I wasn’t that naïve,” she said. “I knew they were talking about p*rn films. I got accepted to be represented by a premier agency and I made the move to become a full-time p*rn star and dropped out of college.” She contracted gonorrhoea and developed a heroin addiction within two months. She also had anorexia and had to go to be admitted to the hospital.

Fearing that she might commit suicide, Ms De La Mora contacted her grandmother, who relocated her from Los Angeles to San Diego. Her grandma was the one who persuaded her to begin attending church.

She abandoned the p*rn business in 2012 after a lengthy struggle to become clean and start a new life.

“I started going to church and I went to go film a p*rn scene in Las Vegas,” she explained.

“I brought my Bible and on the aeroplane. I open up Revelation 2:20 and it says ‘I have this against you, you tolerate that woman named Jezebel and she leads my people into sexual immorality … I’ve given her time to repent and if she doesn’t repent we’ll cast her children and her into a sick bed.’

“I was just like oh my goodness, oh my God, I’m so sorry. So I ended up going to set that day and I quit the p*rn industry, I filmed my very last scene that day and I was just done.”

At Cornerstone, Brittni met her husband, pastor Richard De La Mora. The couple married in 2016, and they now manage their church’s young adult ministry together. The duo has collaborated on two relationship books, which will be released later this year. Brittni frequently visits p*rn conventions to talk about the Bible’s teachings with the performers. “I say I live a life without regrets,” she remarked. If I had never gotten into the p*rn industry, I wouldn’t have got to do all the incredible things I’m doing now.”
