Beyoncé announces she’s having twins
Beyoncé announced today that Blue Ivy will get two new siblings, which is the best news ever.
She shared the news in an Instagram image on Wednesday, in which she poses in panties and a tulle veil in front of a wall of flowers, revealing her baby belly.
Beyoncé’s proclivity for firmly managing her own narrative was on display once again with the announcement. After a rousing performance of “Love on Top” — and a microphone slip — she disclosed she was pregnant in 2011 with a knowing belly massage at the MTV Video Music Awards.
“We are incredibly grateful that our family will be growing by two,” Beyoncé and Jayz stated, “we thank you for your well wishes”
Within 35 minutes of posting, the Instagram announcement garnered over 1.5 million “likes.”

The due date of the infants was not mentioned in the announcement.
Coachella, which takes place in April, will have Beyoncé as the headlining act. She will be at least five and a half months pregnant when she walks the stage, if the announcement comes after the typical 12-week pregnancy waiting period.
While Beyoncé is known for avoiding interviews and seldom discusses her personal life, she made her marriage the center of attention with the release of the album and HBO film “Lemonade” last year.
It depicted a strained relationship, complete with open adultery and, finally, reunion. Many people thought the songs’ lyrics, which went from devastated to rebellious to forgiving, were personal, but the couple never said how much of the account was true.
Blue Ivy Carter, their daughter, was born on January 7, 2012.
Blue Ivy later inspired a song on Beyonce’s self-titled album and made multiple appearances in Lemonade last year.
Jay Z stated that Beyonce had a miscarriage before the birth of Blue Ivy in the lyrics of his song Glory.
