On Wednesday in New York City, Jessica Alba barely escaped a wardrobe malfunction.

The 33-year-old model was pictured in New York City on Wednesday, where she had a near wardrobe malfunction while running errands at Whole Foods.

The actress looked stunning in a burgundy skirt, black bustier top, and black jacket. She accessorized with strappy black heels and a whimsical big purse, and her hair was down in casual waves.

Her search for green items, however, nearly ended in catastrophe as she crossed over a subway grate, with her plum-colored skirt billowing up in the wind, evoking the classic picture of Marilyn Monroe’s white dress doing the same thing in 1955.

The Good Luck Chuck star came dangerously near to exposing her panties to the paparazzi, but she managed to keep her skirt in place.

While Marilyn was amused by the whole wind issue, Jessica didn’t appear as amused.

Despite missing a “Tonight Show” appearance Tuesday due to sickness, the star of “Sin City: A Dame to Kill For” appeared to be in good spirits.

This isn’t the first time Alba has had to deal with a wardrobe mishap. In May 2013, she had a nip slip on the streets of New York City, when her loose black tank top accidently exposed her transparent bra.

Jessica has stated that she is dedicated to fashion and is often exploring different outfits. In an interview with Elle magazine, she commented, “Fashion is such a huge part of my life.”

She founded Honest, a firm dedicated to natural products and eco-friendly living. “I think you can love clothes and love shopping and still be true to your ideas about eco-friendly living,” she stated.
