According to police, Justin Bieber and his entourage smoked so much marijuana on his private flight to the Super Bowl that pilots were compelled to wear breathing masks so they wouldn’t get high from the “Cheech and Chong”-style hotbox.

Also, according to an incident report first obtained by NBC News, the captain of the plane, who made repeated requests for passengers to stop smoking during the flight last Friday, was so concerned about Bieber and his father Jeremy’s “extremely abusive” behavior toward a flight attendant that he moved her away from them.

“The captain of the flight stated that he warned the passengers, including Bieber, on several occasions to stop smoking marijuana,” says the official report of the incident. “The captain also stated he needed to request that the passengers stop their harassing behavior toward the flight attendant and after several warnings asked the flight attendant to stay with him near the cockpit to avoid any further abuse.”

Bieber’s plane was greeted by officials from the Drug Enforcement Agency, Customs and Border Protection, and police as it arrived at Teterboro, a tiny New Jersey airport 12 miles west of Manhattan, last Friday, according to a law enforcement official.

According to the New York Post, authorities detected a “strong odor of pot” on board and sent drug detecting dogs.

Biebs, who was traveling with a ten-man posse, revealed to DEA agents after landing that he was inebriated and high but not carrying narcotics.

The private Gulfstream IV jet was “so full of marijuana smoke that the pilots were force to wear oxygen masks,” according to “several law-enforcement sources” quoted by NBC News. So they wouldn’t have to worry about inhaling marijuana and passing a future drug test, putting their licenses at jeopardy.

After finding marijuana stems on the plane, Port Authority officers and Customs officials decided not to press charges owing to “chain of evidence issues,” according to law enforcement sources.

Bieber and his father were “extremely abusive” to the flight attendant, she told investigators, and she refused to work on another trip with them. The official was unable to establish whether or not the flight attendant planned to take any further action.

“The flight attendant stated the passengers, including Bieber and his father, Jeremy Bieber, were extremely abusive verbally and she would not work another flight with them,” according to the report.

Last week, Bieber appeared at a Toronto police station to face charges of assaulting a limo driver in the city last autumn, and there’s also the now-famous D.U.I. charge from Miami a week before that. This seems to be the first time Bieber’s problems have accompanied him to the sky, according to the official report from the plane. Not that he didn’t seem to be the source of his own issues.
