In her new memoir, “Learning to Live Out Loud,” actress Piper Laurie recalls Ronald Reagan, who played her father in a movie and subsequently slept the 18-year-old virgin off the set, as an insensitive “show-off” in bed.

When she expressed her dissatisfaction after their encounter, he advised her to consult a doctor, insisting that he clearly understood how to make a lady climax.

Laurie was 18 years old when she was cast as Ronald Reagan’s daughter in the film Louisa in 1950. Reagan was 39 years old and had recently divorced his first wife, Jane Wyman.

Laurie, who was subsequently nominated for Oscars for her parts in “The Hustler,” “Carrie,” and “Children of a Lesser God,” stated, “I was quite flattered by his fatherly attention.”

Reagan was the perfect gentleman at first, she says, and asked her mother for permission to take her out on a date.

According to the Daily Mail, the following happened:

“[H]e took her to his home where he made hamburgers for them both.”

“It was my first love,” she explained.

But things soon went downhill, after they moved into Reagan’s bedroom, where he became a ‘show-off’ who had sex ‘without grace.’

‘He made sure I was aware of the length of time he had been “ardent,”‘ Laurie, 79, writes. ‘It was 40 minutes.’

He then insulted Laurie after realising her dissatisfaction with the encounter.

“There’s something wrong with you. You should have had many orgasms by now — after all this time. You’ve got to see a doctor,” he said.

In a callous attempt to make his point, the man who went on to become Leader of the Free World also revealed the cost he spent for the condom.

“And he told me how much the condom cost,” she writes.

Laurie also discusses how acting helped her find her voice, and how she once tore up a lucrative contract because it only enabled her to perform uninteresting roles as a ‘perky starlet.’

Despite her ups and downs, she earned the respect of her peers and detractors in the end.
