Priscilla Presley, the ex-wife of Elvis Presley, revealed during her live show, An Evening with Priscilla Presley, in Glasgow that she had initially “hated” the rockstar but refused to betray him.

The couple first met in Friedberg, Germany, in 1959, while Elvis was stationed there in the US Army.

Although Priscilla was just 14 years old at the time, their connection was undeniable.

While she claimed their relationship was “definitely not s^xual”, she stated that Elvis confided in her about his fears and his mother’s death.

However, their love was a secret, and she never told anyone that she was seeing him.

Paparazzi eventually tracked her down and began invading her privacy, making it challenging for the couple to continue their relationship.

Elvis returned to the USA in 1960, which put an end to their contact, and Priscilla grew to resent him.

She remembers, “He didn’t call me for 21 days. I thought that I would never hear from him. I was totally heartbroken.”

Despite her initial dislike for Elvis, they rekindled their relationship eventually.

Priscilla received long-distance calls from Elvis in the dead of night, and they talked for hours.

He invited her to visit his home, Graceland, in the USA, and Priscilla finished school in Memphis, Tennessee, where Graceland resides, and eventually moved to the USA permanently.

In 1967, almost a decade after they first met, Elvis and Priscilla got married.

Six years later, they separated, and the divorce was finalized the following year.

The couple had a daughter, Lisa Marie Presley, during their marriage, and the three of them shared a powerful connection.

Priscilla says that there was no bad blood between them.

Elvis Presley passed away a few years later on August 16, 1977.

He was found dead in the bathroom of his home, Graceland, by his fiancee at the time, Ginger Alden.

Priscilla Presley, who was only 27 years old when Elvis passed away, inherited his estate, which included his Graceland mansion, in Memphis.

She turned the mansion into a tourist attraction and a place of pilgrimage for Elvis fans.

Over the years, Priscilla has opened up about her marriage to Elvis and their life together.

She wrote a book, Elvis and Me, which became a best-seller and was later turned into a TV movie.

In an interview with People, Priscilla talked about her relationship with Elvis, “He was my everything. I learned so much from him. I learned about loyalty, friendship, and generosity.

“He gave so much to everyone around him, even those who didn’t deserve it.”

She has acted in numerous films and television shows and has also appeared on stage.
