Emily Ratajkowski has finally addressed her unexpected kiss with Harry Styles, which went viral earlier this year.

The supermodel spoke about the public response to the kiss as well as the impact on Olivia Wilde, Styles’ ex-girlfriend.

Ratajkowski expressed concern about the way the public can target the wrong people when messy romantic entanglements start making headlines.

Ratajkowski discussed the situation in an interview with Vogue Spain, comparing it to the Adam Levine cheating scandal.

She expressed frustration with how an attack narrative was being established on a young girl, rather than considering the person who is in a relationship and has contracted obligations.

She then shared that her main concern in the wake of the kiss was for Wilde and how she had been affected by the situation.

“In the case you ask me about, it’s more of the same. I feel bad for Olivia, because she had to suffer this situation on several occasions,” said Ratajkowski.

She went on to call out the “strange” fascination with her love life since her divorce from Sebastian Bear-McClard in 2022.

The model has been linked to a number of famous men, including Pete Davidson and Eric Andre.

She said that the intense focus on who she’s dating is bizarre.

“It’s very bizarre to have certain experiences and then have the whole world know about them and comment on them,” Ratajkowski said.

“I’m just a person who’s gone from a three-year relationship to a four-year relationship, so this is the first time in a long time that I’ve been in a dating stage.”

Ratajkowski expressed that most of her life is focused on her son and her work, but these issues don’t inspire the same flashy headlines.

She also revealed that she had previously spoken about the issue in a TikTok video, where she discussed the public’s tendency to target the wrong person in messy romantic situations.

“I did a TikTok talking about it when the Adam Levine case came to light. All my algorithm on this social network showed content focused on slut-shaming a 23-year-old girl,” said Ratajkowski.

Ratajkowski’s Vogue Spain interview also touched on her relationship with her body, motherhood, and how the pandemic has affected her life.

The model has been outspoken about the importance of body positivity and the impact of societal pressures on women’s self-esteem.

She discussed how motherhood has helped her appreciate her body in new ways and how the pandemic has made her reevaluate her priorities.

“I’ve always had a complicated relationship with my image, with my body, and it’s something that I’ve talked about since I started modeling,” said Ratajkowski.

“But now, after having a child, my body has changed and I’ve learned to love it in a different way. I’m also more aware of the messages that are sent to women about their bodies and how it affects our self-esteem.”

Ratajkowski also discussed how the pandemic has brought clarity to her life and made her prioritize her family and close relationships.

She shared that she has been spending more time with her loved ones and taking time for self-care.

“I think the pandemic has made me appreciate the people in my life even more,” said Ratajkowski.

“It’s reminded me of what’s truly important and allowed me to slow down and take care of myself in new ways.”
