Adele, the British singer and songwriter, has had a tumultuous relationship with her father, Mark Evans.

Adele’s father left the family when she was just three years old, following the death of Adele’s paternal grandfather.

Evans has spoken publicly about his past alcoholism and his estrangement from his daughter.

In a 2011 interview with The Sun, Evans admitted that he had been “a rotten father at a time when [Adele] really needed [him].”

Adele has been open about her feelings towards her father, particularly during her acceptance speech at the 2017 Grammy Awards.

After thanking her manager, whom she referred to as a father figure, Adele remarked, “I don’t love my dad, that’s the thing. That doesn’t mean a lot.”

This comment sparked a great deal of speculation and interest in the media.

In a 2012 interview with Vogue, Adele discussed her relationship with her father, stating that she still had “a soft spot” for him, but that she had “cut him off.”

According to reports, their relationship became strained after Evans spoke publicly about their relationship without Adele’s consent.

Evans has publicly acknowledged his shortcomings as a father and expressed regret for his actions.

In the same 2011 interview with The Sun, he spoke candidly about his alcoholism and how it affected his relationship with Adele.

“I hit the bottle so hard that I am pretty much oblivious to anything that happened to me for three years. I was way, way below rock bottom by then. I reckon I made Oliver Reed look like a teetotaller,” he said.

“I was in the darkest place you can imagine. I saw no way out. I didn’t really care whether I lived or died.

“And all the time I thought, ‘How can I do this to Adele?’ I knew she’d be missing her grandad just as much as I was because they had such a close bond.”

“She adored him. Yet all I could do was drink and I’m so, so ashamed of myself for that. I was in so much grief that I couldn’t see past myself and how I was feeling.”

Despite Evans’ acknowledgement of his mistakes, Adele’s relationship with her father never fully recovered.

According to reports, Adele was saddened by her father’s passing in May 2021.

It is important to note that celebrities’ personal lives and relationships with their families should be respected and left alone unless they choose to speak about them publicly.

In the case of Adele and her father, the media should be cautious not to speculate or pry into their personal relationship.

Adele’s relationship with her father is just one example of the complicated and often painful relationships that can exist within families.

While it is easy to judge from the outside, it is important to remember that every family has their own struggles and challenges.

It is up to each individual to decide how they navigate those challenges and how they choose to move forward.

Adele’s honesty and vulnerability in her music and public statements have resonated with millions of fans around the world.

She has become known for her powerful voice and emotional lyrics, which often touch on themes of heartbreak, loss, and love.

Her music has brought comfort and healing to many, and she has become a beloved figure in the music industry.

While Adele’s relationship with her father may be complicated, it is clear that she has found a way to move forward and find success and happiness in her own life.

Her story serves as a reminder that even in the face of great adversity, it is possible to overcome and find peace.
