Isla Fisher, known for her roles in popular Hollywood rom-coms, was notably absent from the cast of “Now You See Me 2”, the sequel to the successful 2013 film.

The original film starred an ensemble cast, including Fisher, Jesse Eisenberg, Dave Franco, Woody Harrelson, Common, Mark Ruffalo, Morgan Freeman, and Michael Caine, and earned over $350 million worldwide.

The follow-up film also boasted a talented cast and added Lizzy Caplan to the mix.

But some fans may wonder why Fisher didn’t appear in the sequel.

The reason for Fisher’s absence was due to her pregnancy, which didn’t align with the production schedule of the film.

She and her husband Sacha Baron Cohen were expecting their third child in late summer 2014 and announced the news in October of the same year.

According to a trusted source quoted by Us Weekly, Fisher “knew she wouldn’t be able to do it” as production for the film was scheduled to start in November.

At the time of filming, Fisher would have been at least four months pregnant, which can be a challenging time for many women.

Furthermore, Fisher’s pregnancy wasn’t an average one, as she was past the age of 35, which carries a slightly higher risk of complications.

Given these circumstances, it’s understandable why Fisher had to sit out the sequel.

The filmmakers explained her character’s absence by suggesting that she was busy with another job, and the film still performed well at the box office, grossing just under $335 million worldwide.

It’s worth noting that Fisher’s role in the original film was significant. She played Henley Reeves, one of the Four Horsemen, a group of magicians who pull off daring heists.

The film followed the Horsemen as they used their skills to rob from the rich and give to the poor, all while being pursued by the FBI.

Fisher’s character was an integral part of the group, so it was understandable that the filmmakers had to come up with a plausible explanation for her absence in the sequel.

David Copperfield, the famous illusionist, took a more hands-on role as a producer for the sequel, which may have contributed to the film’s success.

He helped to bring even more magic and spectacle to the movie, which is an essential part of the “Now You See Me” franchise.

The sequel also introduced a new character named Lula, played by Lizzy Caplan, who filled Fisher’s shoes.
