Actor and former Men’s Health US cover star, Terry Crews, has revealed that his addiction to prn nearly ended his marriage.

Crews co-wrote the audiobook “Stronger Together” with his wife, Rebecca King Crews, and spoke candidly about his past behavior.

He admitted to being unfaithful to his wife ten years prior to their D-day, a day that he had to ask for forgiveness for both his infidelity and prn addiction.

Crews described himself as a “toxic male” and spoke to American talk show host Jimmy Kimmel about the struggles of addiction.

He claimed that addiction was not a matter of willpower but rather a lack of information.

Crews told Kimmel that addiction “works for you until it doesn’t”, and he hopes that by speaking out, he can help others avoid the same mistakes.

In previous interviews, Crews disclosed that his addiction to prn began when he was just twelve years old.

He attributes it to growing up in a household with addicted parents.

“My father was addicted to alcohol, and my mother was addicted to religion. So what happens is you had an addictive household,” he shared while appearing on The Wendy Williams Show.

During his interview with Kimmel, Crews expressed his admiration for women and acknowledged their power.

He spoke about how women are so influential that men can become addicted to looking at pictures of them.

He described how his addiction had affected him, saying, “It took me away, and it medicated me. But this is the problem. I never told anyone. I didn’t tell my wife for years.”

Crews spoke about his addiction in his new audiobook with his wife, which aims to provide insight into their experiences as a couple.

He hopes that by sharing his struggles, others can avoid making the same mistakes.

The Brooklyn Nine-Nine star stated that his addiction to prn almost cost him his marriage.

He urged people to seek help and not keep their addictions a secret, saying, “The truth is, when you keep something in the dark, it grows. But when you expose it to light, it withers.” Crews added that he is grateful to his wife for standing by him during his difficult journey.

Crews’ story is not unique, as many individuals struggle with addiction to prno.

According to a 2018 study published in JAMA Pediatrics, 32% of males and 16% of females viewed prn before the age of 13.

Addiction to prn can have severe consequences, and it is important to seek help if struggling with it.

Crews’ experience serves as a reminder of the importance of being honest and seeking help when dealing with addiction.

By speaking out, he hopes to raise awareness and help others who may be struggling with similar issues.
