Oksana Grigorieva, the ex-partner of actor Mel Gibson, has claimed that she is suffering from post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) as a result of domestic violence she experienced during their marriage.

In a court filing obtained by The Blast, Grigorieva also revealed that she has been recently diagnosed with a pituitary adenoma, a type of tumor, due to “the stresses of litigation and bankruptcy”.

Because of her illnesses, she says she is unable to pay the $108,887.24 she allegedly owes to an accounting firm she hired to do forensic accounting during her divorce.

The accounting firm, White, Zuckerman, Warsavsky, Luna & Hunt, has requested permission to recover the unpaid bills.

Gibson’s representative declined to comment on the claims made by Grigorieva.

In 2011, Gibson was sentenced to three years’ probation, counseling, and community service after pleading no contest to one misdemeanor count of domestic violence.

The charge stemmed from an incident that occurred in 2010 when Grigorieva alleged that Gibson punched her in the head and face multiple times at his Malibu home.

Gibson admitted to slapping her in order to restrain her from allegedly “shaking [their baby] Lucia back and forth”.

Grigorieva’s recent court filing also includes a request for a reduction in child support payments for Lucia, her daughter with Gibson.

She claims that her income has decreased and that her living expenses have increased due to her medical conditions.

“The court filing states that Grigorieva is “on various medications for stress, anxiety, and depression, as well as anti-seizure medication, and… must undergo further testing for her pituitary tumor and may require surgery to remove it”.”

“The court filing also includes a request for Gibson to pay for Lucia’s private school tuition and extracurricular activities.”

Grigorieva claims that the expenses are necessary for the child’s well-being.

Gibson and Grigorieva reached a settlement in their custody battle over Lucia in 2011.

The settlement required Gibson to pay $750,000 to Grigorieva in installments, provide her with a house until Lucia turned 18, and pay for various expenses, including private school tuition and extracurricular activities.

In 2018, Gibson lost a court battle to have his child support payments reduced.

A judge ruled that he must continue to pay $20,000 per month in child support and provide Lucia with a house until she turns 18.

Grigorieva has made other claims against Gibson in the past, including accusing him of making violent threats and hurling racial slurs at her.

Gibson has denied the allegations.
