Actress Jane Fonda recently revealed that Jennifer Lopez never apologized to her after accidentally cutting her eyebrow during the filming of a scene for their 2005 movie, “Monster-in-Law.”

The scene features the two stars slapping each other back and forth, but during one of the slaps, J-Lo’s enormous diamond ring cut Fonda’s eyebrow.

Fonda appeared on “The Drew Barrymore Show” on Thursday and discussed the incident.

“Well Jennifer—as per Jennifer—she had this enormous diamond ring. And so, when she slapped me one of the times, it cut open across my eye, my eyebrow,” she said.

“She’s never apologized,” Fonda claimed.

In the movie, Fonda plays Viola Fields, who tries to stop her son from marrying Charlie Cantilini, played by Lopez.

The slapping scene takes place after Fields shows up at the wedding wearing a white gown of her own.

The women then exchange multiple slaps.

Fonda said during the scene, “You don’t go and slap somebody and then apologize, get some backbone.”

However, Lopez remembers things differently. Speaking in a video posted on her YouTube channel in 2019, she said she was “mortified” when her slap cut Fonda’s face.

“I was like… so sorry,” Lopez said. “We talked about how we were going to do this over and over again. I was so afraid to hit Jane Fonda in the face or hurt her in any way,” she added.

“She was so brazen and [said] like, ‘Just hit me, don’t worry about it.’ The scene took on a life of its own.

“I just remember afterward Jane had a blood blister right at the top of her eye.

“My nail, like, went up into her eye…. She didn’t care. She’s such a gangster b****. I just love her.”

The incident did not seem to sour their relationship, as Fonda previously spoke fondly of Lopez in a 2019 interview with Entertainment Tonight.

“She’s wonderful. We had so much fun together,” Fonda said.

Fonda has been open about the physical demands of her career.

She previously revealed that she fractured her lower back while filming the movie “The China Syndrome” and had to wear a back brace while filming.

“I was in a lot of pain,” Fonda said in an interview with the New York Times.

“I had to wear a back brace throughout the movie, which was really hard. And then, when the movie was over, I had to go into physical therapy for a year to try to strengthen my lower back.”

Despite the physical challenges of her job, Fonda has remained active in the entertainment industry.

She won the Golden Globe for Best Supporting Actress in 2019 for her role in “Grace and Frankie.”

In addition to her work in film and television, Fonda has also been an outspoken activist throughout her career.

She was famously involved in the anti-Vietnam War movement in the 1970s and has continued to advocate for various causes over the years, including climate change and women’s rights.

Fonda is also known for her workout videos, which she released in the 1980s and which remain popular today.

In recent years, she has continued to inspire fans with her commitment to fitness and healthy living.

Fonda has been married three times and has three children. Her most recent marriage to media mogul Ted Turner ended in 2001.

Fonda has spoken publicly about her struggles with addiction and bulimia in the past and has been open about her mental health challenges as well.

In addition to her acting work, Fonda has also written several books, including her 2005 memoir “My Life So Far,” which detailed her personal and professional experiences.

She has also been a spokesperson for various brands and companies over the years, including L’Oreal and Esteé Lauder.
