Actress Gwyneth Paltrow is set to testify in a court hearing today regarding a skiing accident that occurred in 2016.

Paltrow is accused of skiing recklessly and colliding into Terry Sanderson, a retired optometrist, at the Deer Valley Resort in Utah.

Sanderson suffered injuries that included a brain injury, four broken ribs, and other severe injuries.

An employee of the resort allegedly saw Sanderson after the accident but did not offer to help.

Sanderson filed a lawsuit against Paltrow in 2019 seeking $3.1 million in damages, but the case was dismissed.

He is now seeking $300,000 in a new lawsuit against the actress.

Paltrow had filed a countersuit in the original case, claiming that Sanderson was at fault for the accident and that it left her “shaken”.

The trial is expected to last for eight days, with Paltrow appearing in court to give her testimony today.

This comes after Paltrow received criticism last week for sharing her “dangerous” daily eating habits.

The actress had revealed that she often skips breakfast and consumes a “lean protein” and vegetable-based lunch and dinner.

Some experts deemed her eating habits to be unhealthy and potentially harmful.

The skiing accident in question occurred during a ski trip that Paltrow took with her family.

According to Sanderson’s lawyer, Paltrow was skiing “out of control” when she collided into his client.

The incident left Sanderson with severe injuries, and he claims that the resort employee who saw him after the accident did not offer any assistance.

The lawsuit against Paltrow is expected to center around the circumstances of the accident.
